Never liked that saying, just from my personal experience. Every time I travel with someone overseas I let them know we do not under any circumstance check bags. Much much much better to not have it when you don’t need it haha.

Little different selection process with a daily driver than travel, much more room to carry trauma kit, recovery gear, etc. but there are for sure a lot of things that are just in the way of what we actually need in my humble opinion ha. Cheers!

Sorry I was tagged into this and would of left it alone but I’m a sucker for being an asshole! Nothing wrong with your question and I apologize and mean no harm! I keep my hellcat on a mag secured to my overly modified Tacoma next to my right hand. Joke from earlier was what essentials do you keep in your truck and I said fleshlight. Push buttons rock!

Should I start a build thread for how I converted my push button, automatic Fleshlight to full time ECT mode?

I have a heavy plastic storage container with a hinged lid I got at HD back in the day. Does a surprisingly good job of keeping things dry. Its bungeed in the bed against the cab. Inside that...
-A couple of gasketed ammo cans with basic hand tools, small 12V tire inflator, jumper pack and a flat repair kit. Also have some 20 year old rain gear, a tarp, bungees, a cargo net and a length of galvy tubing for leverage, quart of oil, WD40 and that may be it.
-An old snow shovel lives between the container and the back wall of the bed.
-Beside the container I have a milk crate where I keep a wheel chock and where I tend to throw trash.

    In the cab I have...
-a roll of tp in the back door cubby, behind the seats an extra coat/hooded sweatshirt, t-shirt or two, winter hat and ball cap.
-Work gloves in the drivers door cubby along with a 25' measuring tape.
-Winter gloves under the passanger seat. Small pistol safe under the drivers seat.
-A couple of mapbooks for my state and a neighboring state between the drivers seat and the center console.
-Glovebox/center console are a multi tool, tire pressure gauge, pens/sharpie, 4 way screwdriver, re-chargeable flashlight, AA headlamp, plug in inverter, phone charger, napkins and misc junk.

Sounds like a ton of stuff as Im typing this out but its all pretty much tucked away. Nothings really visible aside from the stuff in the bed.

no need to apologize brother, I am a category 5 troll myself. And way I see it is, there are people that outfit rigs with off-road shit they never use, it’s for the clout. Then there are people that purpose build their rigs. I’ve driven shitty beaters for a long time where I’ve need to change a frozen brake caliper, or diagnose an electrical problem, or in other cases rebuild the transaxle in a small ride on tractor. To me having the shit I need when I need it is paramount. Relying on myself and the skills I’ve acquired from experience is a virtue.
