I trash picked a Weber blue kettle like the one in post #14486.
It has the #78841 091004 on it but no serial plate. Nice Blue Weber.
Anyone have an idea what model it is? I don't need it but might just buy the ignigter just to make it complete. Looks like a great Grill Smoker!

Yes. This one, post #14486 about the third one down on this page.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/food-smokers-and-smoking-tips-tricks-techniques.229517/page-725

The only Weber number I have found so far is next to the igniter button on the right front panel, #78841 091004. There may be another code but not a serial number. I need daylight to see. It needs to be cleaned.
Also different is the lid. The lid has been replaced with a black one not the Blue matching the kettle. The table is fiberglass just like the one in the pic. It is a performer Gen 2 or 3 best I can tell. So excited to have a Weber Kettle to smoke with. I may buy a cooking grate that is newer. Opens differently to the heat or the center comes off and can smoke around the edge. I am also curious what the electronics were that are missing on my front rail.

Ok. I realize this is a car thread. I hope it is not too difficult to scroll 2 or three posts to the pic 14486 on page 725. Amazing how helpful TW is!

It’s even less difficult to post an actual picture of what you have, but sure, get snarky with people you’re asking for help less than 5 posts in. You’re gonna do great here.

It is dark outside. Doom and gloom here weather wise. The photo in the thread 14486 on page 725 is way more accurate than a black square. I am sorry I asked. I think it is pretty cool I found a 450 - 499$ grill. And the guy that posted the photo back in 2017 found his too. You should look at the photo. I hope I can do as good a job cleaning this one up! He made his look brand new!

Post up a picture or three of the one you have when you can, it’s hard to identify something we can’t look at.

Been awhile since I've done SL ribs. Now they're in the oven with some grape juice.

I need to scrape down the inside of my lid so stuff stops dropping in the meat.

Thoughts/suggestions for BGE accessories or gifts? BIL has a birthday coming up and I have no experience with it. He’s not a hardcore smoker, but does put in the time/work to get decent bbq. All opinions welcome
