@Norsemanvike , Ghost been gone a very long time now. We all miss him, I look and hope he might come back someday.

 

Hopefully hes found a good home, and hes inside now. Thats the best you can hope for.

 

This I truly do! For sure he was a unique little guy and very loving/ affectionate. It is a possibility that neighbor down around the corner took him in.

Even though cats usually cause both physical and mental wounds they do have the ability to help us heal. Guess we’re no good to them if we’re dead

Jesus a cat did that to you? We just took in my wife's sisters cat while she's transitioning between homes and she didn't tell us that it was feral cat. This cat, in the first couple days wouldn't come out from behind the couch and when I tried to feed him, he would hiss and try to attack me. This cat wont shy or be timid around you hell literally try to attack you. I told my wife's sister that he has another day with us before we ship him off to the animal shelter.

LOL! In the early to late 90's, my wife and I had SEVEN indoor cats. Some were our "originals" and a couple-a-few were kittens from the backyard ferals that we would steal from the Mama after 3 days on the teat. We did that for a number of years and a few of them had adoption deals with friends or family that didn't come to fruition as planned. These were all hand raised and exceptional kittehs and we would not let them go to just "any" home to clear our inventory.

Funny story....Gus was the oldest Patriarch of the family. A big ol' Orange tabby with just the most bitchen personality. He was an ambassador of goodwill for sure. Over his 23 year long life, people that hated cats absolutely LOVED Gus and we have people that talk about him to this day. Gus has adopted every single litter we brought in and would pin them down and clean them and mess with them teaching them how to be a good cat until we found a home. With all those OG cats in the house at the time, the last litter of kittens we had brought in really tested Gus' patience. He did the job but you could tell he was getting tired of all their shit!

One night, the wife and I went out to dinner. We came home to our 2 story Condominium that had most all of its living quarters upstairs. When I got to the top of the stairs, all the doors in the house had been opened and there were fucking cats and kittens EVERYWHERE running around. Not how we left it. On the last step going up, I noticed a business card laying on the floor. I picked it up to see it was from the local Police Department and scratched on the back was a note saying they had been called out on a 911 call placed FROM OUR HOUSE with no responsive party caller. We had 1 speed dial phone/answering machine in our bedroom up on a dresser where only Gus would go and sit above the kittens. It had 911 programmed into it, of course. It was pretty obvious that Gus had had enough of this kitten fostering bullshit and sought outside help. I called dispatch because I really wanted to know how the hell the cops got IN my house with all the doors locked downstairs? Turns out I left the balcony slider unlocked and they snagged my neighbors ladder from his truck (he was a roofer by trade) and they gained entry that way. Needless to say we were embarrassed as hell with all these frikin cats and kittens in our house and the fact the cops came in on that. The dispatcher was laughing because the 2 officers that came in were making jokes about the cats and they hung up the still active phone line. That was the last litter we ever brought in after so many. Quite a number of years later, good ol' Gus passed away after 23 solid years of service!

I'll play, looks like my boy Frick Frack. He's a straight up dick and a serial killer. You name it he will kill it, lizards to snakes to rabbits and probably a bunch of other shit I dont know about, and he eats them, especially since I put his ass on a diet. Guess he decided to show me who needs me, lol.

And he doesnt like people, the only ones he will let pet him is me and my wife....and that isnt always a guarantee, as seen here.
