Hey guys , weather hear on the eastcoast has been pretty crappy to get out and check out new Tacoma's ... stopped at one dealer and all the trucks were still covered with snow .
I did find 2 dealers with double cab TRD longbed trucks ... I plan on financing about 20 to 24k at the most , just wondering if any one knows the best interest rate Toyota was offering ?
I did check the Bankrate site and found that my bank is offering 3.50 with direct deposit .
I have read that a lot of lenders consider if you refinance with in the first month of buying a vehicle from a dealer they will lend new .

Toyota are offering 2.9% over 60 mths on used vehicles right now so you should be able to get that on a new vehicle.

When I got mine last year the toyota finance deals were 0% for 12 mths, 0.9 for 24 mths, 1.9 for 36, 2.9 for 48 and 3.9 for 60.

What they will actually offer you will also depend on your credit score. Over 750 and you should be able to get a good deal on financing.

I got 3.75% for 72 months from Bank of America, no money down...financed the whole truck + tax, title, license...3.5% is a good rate being that you are putting a down payment on the truck...Toyota Financial was around 4.99% for 60 months when I bought in September '10 and wanted 10%-15% down...they can't compete with the banks or credit unions...if you have a high beacon score, say 750+ you should be able to work them over right now--

If you can get 3.5% at your bank thats the route I would go because then you can get approved for the loan ahead of time and haggle with the dealer on price knowing that you have the loan already secured. Dont tell the dealer that. When they ask how you will finance tell them you are undecided and open to what they have to offer.

Sadly here they cut all the good programs except for tundrsa and camry. 4.9 was the best they could do with excellent credit. Unless you wanna buy the extended warranty and stuff they wil cut it to 3.9

When they're willing to cut the interest rate down by an entire percentage point, that should tell you just how worth it the x-warranty is for them... Sheesh.

I'm going to the local credit union and arranging financing ahead of time before I go in, with little to no interest in dealing with their financing at the dealership.

Plus, you won't have to worry about them jacking you at the dealership, putting you in an uncomfortable position if they happen to be a dealership that tends to play games ("Oh, I'm sorry sir, you don't qualify...") Walk in and let them know you already have attractive financing without divulging figures, they have no game to play on the finance table with you. The ball's in your court there (though watch, they may occasionally backload profit elsewhere if you're not paying close enough attention).

And no, I don't hate dealers or dealerships, it's just a mutual game between buyer and seller. Some buyers just don't know they're playing, and get pissed when they've been played. Caveat emptor, I suppose.

Toyota will be launching an advertising push and incentives, according to Automotive News:

    http://www.autonews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20110201/RETAIL01/110209982/1448

The incentives will be announced on Presidents Day weekend, which is the weekend of Feb. 19th. The article states that incentives for vehicles like the Tacoma will vary by region.

If you can wait a little while you might be able to get a better financing deal through Toyota.

Thanks ... Thats a great find . Toyota allways seems to give all the incentives to every other model but the Tacoma ... its like the red headed step child ...LOL
Its worth the wait and gives me a little more time to squirrel away some extra down payment money .
