@Kadenm , did you try and utilize MTS or Crawl Control with locker engaged. Had you turned off traction control by long pressing the switch?

I'm interested in what capabilities you used....or didn't.

I know this is crazy but used sets are available for about $10K. If you poke around their Web site they have a ton of information.

OP, this may be the way to go next time! :)

Sorry, for keeping this forum alive. I can't help myself. If I had these, I would be living in Gaspe, for sure. Or Calgary. :)

    4 run, 2 don't
If the vehicle was buried IE snow packed behind or in front of the lower control arms, rear axle housing, etc it wouldn't have done any good.

Buddy of mine has a Pro, front and rear locked with 33s and 5.29 gears. Crawl control and having been aired down wasn't enough to get out until we completely dug it all around and underneath. Once that was done, just some back and forth with some wheel turning got him out.

    Screw crawl control.

I didn't get stuck that same day, I must've gotten a unicorn as they say.

    Oh shit! WOW!

That's insane. I think I'll make an appointment at my dealer to have all that shit removed if that's the case. I'm kinda pissed now that I didn't just by the base model SR.

I'm struggling but doing okay. Along with the 10/125k Platinum Warranty, my F&I guy saw fit to sign me up to Toyota's Life of Vehicle Enhancement or "LOVE" Mental Health plan. One pill a day and I can cope with the 3rd Gens bogus issues.

just some advice from someone who lived in mammoth for 5 years and went to the hot springs almost every week. Drive onto green church road and whether you're going to willies or crab cooker you should park just past the cow grates and just skin or snow shoe in. there's no reason to go out to the springs in a vehicle when it snows. I've had plenty of friends that got in serious trouble because they were under-prepared for the elements because they thought they were safe because they were in a car or truck. It's also a lot more fun and the soak is well deserved.

Ummm … it’s California right? Can’t resist. My pet peeve is people who move to snow country and leave on highway tires over the winter. Id really like to know how many of the stuck cars on the side of the road have highway tires. ‘Cmon man you moved to Montana get friggin snow tires!’ Sounds like OP had good tires.
