What's the best year of Tacoma?

2016..... 107K miles later, no problems!!!! knock knock knock......

 

I became the proud owner of a 1972 red Pinto after my parents bought it new and I rolled it end over end taking a sharp curve way to fast, hitting a ditch and a stop ahead sign. Beer may have been involved. Fortunately it landed on its wheels. Had a friend with me, we tossed the back window which had popped out unbroken in the back seat and I drove it home leaving a trail of oil all the way. Called the cops the next morning, cop said yeah I already followed your oil trail to where you wrecked lol, but I managed to not get a ticket. The top was crushed down about an inch. We actually had it repaired and it became my car and my car payments due to that little incident. I was going to high school but working part time. I made a payment a week and had it payed off in less than a year.
That’s the only accident I caused in my life so far and glad no other cars were involved.

I later graduated to Chevelles and Mustangs.

Yikes. I do remember abruptly passing someone from high school and almost loosing control and crashing. Never did that again as I learned that the thing was unstable with that v6 in the front. I graduated to 67-72 chevy trucks after that with a short detour to a fun little 67, primer red, super 6, auto Doge dart.

 

Yea the external clock was removed in the 15 year model.

 

Some nice memories of these old cars mentioned! We had a yellow Ford Pinto for a couple weeks, got refunded under the lemon law, it was replaced with
a Ford Maverick, which I started driving once I got my license, we also had a Plymouth Horizon, great in the snow for some reason, Dad got a car for $50, it was a Ford
Galaxy, all those car were POS...lol... My first car, a 196something VW Beetle, then my first new car, a diesel Rabbit, 45 mpg..... years later a Nissan 200sx, all had their
days at the shop! All that stopped for 15 years when, a new 2001 DCSB OR Tacoma was bought! Also loving my 2016!!!!

 

Traxxas chassis, some LCG and some high center. I have 7 cars, I have 12 turns one for outdoor loose dirt, one for indoor clay dirt and one for carpet and I also have three big blocks (13.5 motor) two for outdoor dirt and one for carpet and I have an sr10 that I don’t drive much

I’m not sure I could remember all the cars I’ve had, last three have been Honda Accord EX-L’s, all bought new, most reliable cars I’ve ever owned (still have the 2004, traded in the 2012 for a 2020). I can remember the trucks I’ve had starting with a 1978 GMC (bought new), 1987 F150 (new), Chevy S10 (used paid $700 lol), 2007 Colorado (used) and my current Tacoma (bought new). Tacoma is my favorite of the lot.

 

Wow nice, I have a Summit that I put an E-Revo body on, a Revo 3.3, and a T-Max Classic, fun RC's to run.

I have had Subarus chevys Nissans Hondas and the Tacoma. the taco is by far the best!

 

How did you like the Subaru? I looked at them years ago but didn’t buy, they had a good reputation at the time though. A friend has a WRX he likes a lot.

 

2012 because it has the modern dash, front end and taillights, backup cam in the rear view mirror, and the clock in the dash.

Plus it’s the only one from 2012-2015 that has a WARRANTY enhancement on the SAIS for 12 years from first use.

 

98-99. Before that goofy ass late first gen front end

 

Ford, GM, and Chrysler all had similar Green Paints, seems like the 1970's were full off those Greens.

 

i loved my Subaru!! That was my first car it was a 2001 legacy and we used go out on the roads before the plow trucks would come thru and my friends would hold on to the oh shit handles and snowboard out the passenger door, they are by far the best sedan when it comes to snow. After I literally shoveled the front end into a hill blew the air bags locked the seat belts up and frayed the belts with the fan and then I put it on a cum along and a tree and pulled the front end out and put new belts on it and duct taped the dash and steering wheel and drove it for a year and a half till it blew the head gaskets, then I gave up, typical for the 98-2002 Subarus…
