I have 70k on mine with two trips to colorado / multiple passes and moab and mine are still fine lol. 2 total trips out there from SC, and several trips to NJ and back. So how'd you manage that?

While they may not be leaking, or showing obvious signs of damage, the oil and gas charge in them is likely not even close to what it was when new. Just like not changing your engine oil, not servicing your shocks can lead to failures that cost more in the end.

Now I am not saying that you have to service your shocks every 50k like fox recommends, but the people that designed them probably know better than anyone on when to service them (also just like changing your engine oil)

I heard something about some competition issues from his old shop... not sure what came of that. I know he was planning on opening a new shop just south of Austin.

Too bad, he provided a necessary service. I must have been one of the last rebuilds he did.

Do you know what his old shop was? While I'd like to give him the business in 25k miles, if he doesn't exist what can you do...
