Why is there a 12 month/12K miles warranty on the Lifetime package? Is it the owner's lifetime, and Firestone offs the guy at the end of the 12 months?

A little something every chance we get.
I bought a regular first, then opted for lifetime. They have since aligned it stock, new components, spacer lift, real lift, no issues. The "warranty" is because they can't guarantee your parts, and would like to sell you some if you "need them". So, once a year, "free" alignment, and component inspection!

I have the lifetime and they’ve honored it for over 5 years now

Parts stores have his poster up in all surrounding states. “Do not sell warranted parts to this man…”

I'm doing Napa the same way. They told me lifetime warranty is only good for 2 times.

I've been battling one of the large torx bolt that holds the bed in for 2 days. I stripped the torx head trying to break it free with an 18" breaker bar. I've tried soaking the bolt in WD-40 and PB Blaster. I've tried vice grips. I've tried a pipe wrench. I bought an extractor and made no progress. I hammered a hex bit in the hole that I drilled out for the extractor and it had a decent bite, but I couldn't get it to budge with a 3/8 impact wrench. I borrowed a 1/2 pneumatic impact wrench and that eventually just bored a larger hole in the bolt with the hex bit. At this point I think the best next step is to weld a nut to the top of the bolt. Anyone know of a shop around central Austin that would do this?

Indeed it has. Bring a grade 8 bolt with you. 1/2" ought to do.

It's actually well lit - the cops hang out there as a central "get to where the action is" staging point. Also a lot of shenanigans happen in that area. Also empty since they built the new super-mega-plus-sized HEB at Slaughter and Congress (and fucked that intersection up forever).
