I may or may not have an unhealthy addition to Eagle talons. I had a 91 turbo AWD talon from 18-21ish. I Loved that car. Had the motor blew up in it right after I moved to Texas. Rode my bike to work till I could afford a second car, and rebuilt it. Did a forged rebuild, had a 16G turbo and DSM link. I was almost read to turn up the boost when I was hit by a drunk driver on I-10 6 hours from home. Guy didn't have insurance and I essentially lost everything.

Fast forward to my 30's, I found an identical car for sale locally with a blown motor. Needles to say it followed me home that day.

I have a built short block in a spare bedroom. I am hoping to get it finished someday but have been mostly focused on growing the side business when I have time off from my day job.

This one is staying non-turbo, just gonna be an occasional cruiser. The main issue I have with this one is rust. I've been working on cutting it all out and replacing it, but just keep finding more. Even the rear sub-frame beam is gonna need pulled completely out and patched/plated. I just can't let it die just yet. It was my late friends mothers car that she bought when we were teenagers. Even replaced the engine in it when we were 16. Has that sentimental value to me. I'll never get my money back outta this one.

I can totally hear you on that one! My first one was a Non-turbo Plymouth laser. My father had a matching car. Wish I could get those back.

Sometimes getting your money back out of it does not matter, it’s all about building experiences.

Went a little nuts last month when I gave my 2022 Tundra deposit back deciding to keep the Tacoma. Still waiting on a few things on backorder but:

    - Depo black pro-style headlights and taillights (installed)
    - Flowmaster FlowFX dual exhaust (backorder)
    - KDMax tune (done and fucking amazing)
    - Meso Stage 1 tail wiring (ordered)
    - Male/female connectors from Aliexpress to make plug and play load resistors (ordered)

Also gotta fully re-wire my head unit harness because the previous owner did unforgivable things (including wiretaps for a shitty high/low split which slowly severed the wires) to the audio in the year they had the then-brand-new Tacoma.

I have the Flowfx exhaust and overall I am happy with it. If I had a tuner close by I would have a tune. Let us know how you like the exhaust once you get it. My truck is manual so I can make it be calm or hold the gear a little longer and make noise. My kids love it so it’s all good.

Ah that's awesome to hear. It was hard to decide using audio clips that never give the true tone.

I got lucky with a tuner coming up to Vancouver area of BC this past weekend. Up until tuning my PedalCommander did a hell of a job keeping me happy with the throttle response..gotta sell that bad boy now.

Yeah I have been looking at the PC but everyone who goes from it to a tune says they wish they had just saved the money and got a tune.
I listened to so many clips it drove my wife crazy. But what finally made me decide was I didn’t want that raspy sound. Some like it but I don’t and that’s fine that’s why there are so many different models. The fx isn’t raspy and when off throttle it’s got a burble that isn’t annoying. It isn’t a V8 so it’s as good as it can be.

Installed N-FAB steps. I'm on the fence...My wife wanted steps. The Rock sliders I wanted were a little pricey, so I went with these.

Just got er done Saturday so too early to tell. Honestly all I was after was better overall driveability and got exactly what I asked for. Any other benefits such as mpg are welcomed but not expected.

They don’t promise any gas mileage gain but most people see a 1-2 mpg increase
