Looking to see if anyone close to upstate NY still has that valance you took off. I'd love to get it out of your garage. I am highway commuting for at least 3 years and am interested if I gets me any mpg savings. I'd prefer to pick up if possible--anything in a hour of Albany is great--but I also travel west on 90 a few times a year. Thanks all.

Might I suggest expanding your search and look up “Tacoma Air Dam” on Craigslist, Offerup or Facebook Marketplace. There’s quite a few listings in Albuquerque already going for $15 so I can imagine there being a lot more available in NY, both local pickup and shipping.

I dont think that thing was meant to fit around the skid plate so you would probably have to modify it. Models with and without it are rated the same for MPG so you probably are not going to see any gains either.

The air damn fits with any of the black oem stock skids but not the TRD pro skid plate or aftermarket skids. The mpg difference is negligible but it does deflect a bit of salt and dirt from flying around the undercarriage to a certain degree.

OP, If mpg is a major concern and you don’t care about height or appearances, then getting smaller tires makes a major difference. I had 245 tires on my stock truck before going up to 265 tires and there was a significant drop in mpg afterwards.

OP you'll need to remove the tow hook in order for the valance to fit. Just a couple bolts, you can easily replace it if/when the valance comes off again. You'll need the clips and bolts, the holes are already in the front clip so no drilling required. If you have the hardware, it's a 10 minute job tops.

Yes, I run 285/75/16's right now. Avg 19mpg
I have a set of 245/75's on steel wheels and I get 23.5 with those. My drives are often 45-60mph (not too into mpg, just observant).

Gentlemen, relax. Just leave on your porches and if I get out there I'll just grab the first one i come to and leave a pack of NY craft beer in its place.
