It’s totaled. You should start looking for a new truck asap.

3 of them are perfect I have doubts about that 4th one. I believe the spring/bucket on the frame is bent back into the motor.

So, in normal times it may or may not be a total, but the total aspect depends on the repair cost vs value of the truck. That truck has a very high value and the repair cost may not be that high. So if the repair cost is 26k and the value of the repaired truck is more than that, they are fixing it. That's how insurance works.

So I am going to say not totaled.

Compare the comments to, say, the idea of actually expecting strangers on the internet to figure out if a truck is totaled, based on a couple photos. When the adjuster, who is the only one who matters, is going to provide that info anyway.

Which leads one to two possibilities: the OP isn’t really expecting a serious answer,

    or,

the OP is asking a ridiculous question.

Either way, voila, begin the clown show of responses.

The last place I'd ask "is it totaled" after sharing a couple of useless pics is online. Nobody here has the final say. These threads are a joke. Lighten up and if you can't stand the heat, get the fuck out the kitchen. But bring me a samich first.

Good built-in safety factors if everyone walked away unharmed.

Is this your first day on the internet? :)

OP, hope you are OK. I don't know if it's totaled or not, but the damage looks pretty extensive. Best of luck getting this resolved.

The adjuster won’t even see the truck. It’s totaled @75% for the agency I’m with. Now what they deem market value is up to them. It’s a Tacoma forum. Not a body shop forum. Simply collecting opinions. It’s the internet they are free. Along with the A holes .

I played this game in September. Mine was 6 months old with 5200 miles.

I was rear-ended, no drivetrain damage, and my airbags didn't deploy. New frame and bed to the tune of $24k, so I'd say yours will be significantly higher. And yours will totaled, mine was not.

Not sure why you’re wondering what the internet strangers have to say given you already know the real answer, but one constructive thing I would say is not to leave the market value up to the insurance company. Source your own comps/quotes and have your own number, and fight for it if their valuation is low. Especially important given the craziness of the current market.

I need to get ~30k in repairs to total it. Idk what a frame cost. Other factors influence it too. I will post what happens In the end.

Doesn't look like 30k of damage. That may be a tall order unless you have a sledge hammer and some spare time at 2am.

I had a very similar accident on my 2nd gen and after 2 or 3 estimates it was found to be a total loss due to a crack between A arms bracket and frame. For liability they decided not to weld and repair. It was missed on first inspection and picked up on round 2.

    Good luck
