Coldstone Creamery in Warrington is about to get shitlisted; The bathroom is closed to the public, the place always seems to get crowded immediately after I arrive, and today, the order wasn't started until I arrived!

    :annoyed:

I forgot to mention where one of the Borough Bagel orders was going and what ended up happening; The first order went to a very familiar address in Warrington, and as I got closer I was treated to a less-than-pleasant trip down memory lane. Turns out that the food was going to the District Court, the very same district court I'd gone to in 2017 and 2019 to fight two separate traffic citations (it ended up going in my favor; I checked the instructions from the woman the food was going to and it said "District Court").

    Then it occurred to me...

It was Saturday. The court was closed. This had to be a custodian, some sort of maintenance person, or a security guard; I came around the corner, and the parking lot was totally empty. That's when I noticed I had an in-app text message from this woman; She said that she had put in the wrong address, and that I could just keep the food!

Well, guess who ended up liking the food and not having to pay for lunch today?!?! It was a couple of bagels that I wouldn't have ordered if I were paying, but ended up liking anyway, and some hash browns.

This is only the second time a customer has put in the wrong address and let me keep the food!

I did a second dash this evening and earned a total of $83.79; For the most part, it went off without a hitch, but I ended up unassigning two orders totaling over fifteen bucks at a "virtual kitchen" called "MrBeast Burger" at Bertucci's. Why? The first order was already past the time it was supposed to be delivered to the customer's house, and I found out from employees that they only had one cook working and their manager had been forced to join him in the kitchen; I would have been there another twenty minutes!

No sooner had I left Bertucci's than I got two orders for almost the same amount at Sushi X, and as stated above it was a pretty profitable night!

I only got one insultingly low request all evening, which I promptly declined...

This was my last order of the night before heading home; Note in the first photo how it had a pickup time of 7:08pm, but my phone confirms that I didn't show up until almost 20 minutes later...

I have a feeling that this was one of those insultingly low payouts that Dashers kept declining until DoorDash added a dollar or so to so that someone would finally take it; Had I not already been pulling into Wendy's to pick up another order that met my mandatory minimum of $7, I would have declined this one!

This is why when I haul lumber that doesn't fit in the bed I put the low side in the front on the floor of the bed and run straps across on top of the lumber so this doesn't happen

And it did not get above freezing today; I'm guessing that it was a bit drafty in that truck, even with the heat on!

This is some of the shit I'm talking about; They make it seem like a profitable single order, but there's actually two separate orders in there. I've never done the "shop for it yourself" orders, so it was an automatic decline, but this whole order leads me to believe that neither order was very high-paying...

Got a single order for $14.50 from Popeye's in Lansdale and took it; Starting to regret it...

It actually turned out pretty well; $14.50 to take it about 8 miles, but the problem is it took me into Perkasie, which was out of the zone I'd selected to dash in...

If you don't have a Popeye's in your zone, tough shit; Get your ass in your car and drive to get it yourself!

I have no idea what the hell this even was...

Note that it just says "Montgomeryville PA"; I was in Montgomeryville, but there was no restaurant name given. For less than five bucks, I wasn't going to take it anyway...

The restaurant was located in this approximate area, at the intersection of 202 and 309...

No restaurants here, but that doesn't really make a difference, since DoorDash has had me picking up everything from a fish tank to video game in the last year...

None here either; The approximate location seems to have been right around Eagle Power Equipment...

There's a Wawa and a Wendy's a bit further down, as well as an Acura dealer (where my dad bought his TL back in 2008), but I think those two places are too far down to be where the order was coming from...

And then up the road a little bit (too far from the location of the blue marker) is a shopping center with several eating establishments, none of which were named in the order...

    I overheated my iPhone today!

I stick my iPhone in this windshield-mounted holder when I'm Dashing; I've been doing it since day one without issue...

    46603EC1-70F9-4BC2-92E1-1EA2235BD91A.jpg

It's not as cold as it has been, but it's still pretty chilly; I had the heat cranked, and I failed to notice how hot the phone was getting. After getting the $4.60 "Montgomeryville" order, I missed one order and then I decided to pack it in since it was so slow.

I punched my home address into my phone's map app and it was really slow to respond; It finally responded but then my phone went into locked screen mode. I got it reopened, only for it to lock me out again and flash the "iPhone needs to cool down" warning; It was still giving me GPS guidance, but I couldn't do anything else.

It was like 48 degrees, so I cranked up the A/C and held my phone up to the vent, which cooled it down to normal operating temperature in a matter of minutes. I had to adjust the holder so it is not directly in the path of the HVAC vent; We shall see how this works!
