I'm looking at picking one of these up brand new. I'd like to get some input before I pick it up though. Are these sturdy enough for even the heaviest of shenanigans? I like to wheel pretty damn hard. Washboard and even some jumping. Will the rail system handle the stress I put this beast through without cracking like I have seen in some other threads? I am thinking about mounting it more towards the rear to keep the weight distribution better balanced. Here is what it looks like for those who don't know.

I don't personally have one but i've seen a lot of them floating around. If you like it and think it'll work try it. If it doesn't then try something else. That's about all I have for you.

I have seen a handful of them I just want to make sure they can withstand the abuse that comes with hard offroading. Not the actual carrier itself, but the bed rail mounting system. I would be mounting my stock spare on it. Which is about a 32" tire weighing over 85lbs.

I can say i've had a 150 lb tool box tied to two of the bed cleats for a whole wheeling trip and nothing budged or gave way in any way shape or form. Since it's tied to both sides I personally don't think you will have an issue with it but again I don't have one so take that as you will

I had one. Bought it brand new and absolutely hated it. Sold it within one week. It takes up WAY too much room in a dcsb. Pictures are deceiving. If you had a long bed, then it MIGHT be ok, but still takes up too much functional space. They are also a pain in the ass if you have to move it or take it out of your bed. It is just for looks to show off a spare tire. Not worth the cash.

How hard were you wheeling your beast? Judging by some of your pictures I am guessing you wheel it pretty hard.

Well again, to some it may be looks but I am attempting to add some functionality to my setup by moving the tire and changing the trucks center of gravity. By adding weight to the top of the bed (From both the rack and the tire) it should noticeably change the rears handling. Not only that, but since I am jumping the truck I am also attempting to weigh down the rear some so nosediving is lessened.

I do have a long bed, so I don't think it should be an issue, being as I rarely use up all the space in the bed unless I'm out camping, which I haven't done in over a year. Lol.

Well if you must have one, i suggest building your own. I've seen lots of cool ones on here. You can make your own racks and mounts. If im not mistaken the Nfab one you want is about $250, kinda pricey for what you get.
