I know nothing about LT front, 3 or 4 link geometry or whether its better than leafs, and I will not pretend to know. My default response is "still have a shit ton to learn". @dcoursler I have no pride when it comes to these subjects lol. But, looking at the last part of his rear video where he mentions tabs for securing it to a trailer, probably means the KOH trip will be a mini sema showing with him parked right next Mike's truck, with a few carefully orchestrated limited action videos. All for optics, clicks and likes. I would say as primarily a Jeep guy, he is most likely rushing this whole build anyway, because (1) he is getting it paid for, and (2) gaining subscriptions for his channel in the Tacoma crowd as well.

Lol, yea cant argue that point. But 1/4 million Tacomas sold in 21' alone equates to a lot of clicks and likes.

    Just 3 tons of fun!!!

Agreed... And, especially because 99.999% of those quarter million new Tacoma owners wouldn't have a fucking clue how it appears this guy is completely fucking up this truck.

When it fails, it'll somehow be "Toyota's fault"... bet.

It'll be somewhere along the lines of "I would have expected a truck that is badged "offroad" to have a better frame design." (He likes to use that expected the truck that is badged offroad, line, a lot)

The Tacoma will probably be used similarly to his TDI-swapped TJ - he'll trailer it to do hard trail rides several times a year with other Youtubers. Goes along with his choice of sticky-compound tires. How many other videos from his channel have you seen?

It'll be interesting to see what he breaks first on the trail. The front diff torque tube might crack when he engages the front locker. Who knows? :notsure:

A few over the past 2 years. Enough to know he doesn't have to daily his rigs like most of us do.

Yeah. I’d assume I’ll see him there. Marlin hasn’t showed up since they had that sponsored 4th Gen 4Runner and it couldn’t finish the race because of broken parts of the RCLT

Yeah I knew the answer. Obviously my point is you don't have a dog in the race but you are just stirring the pot of drama - it seem childish to get so fired up over something that doesn't affect you.

Seems kind of childish to me, to ask stupid questions you already know the answer to. And then tell people what they can and can't have an opinion about.

Objectively, the whole RCLT thing has been a shit show. Ive been following it for like 3 years now and it’s just one disappointment after another. The only positive thing so far is it lead me to finding JD Fab. I hope the best for MC but the kit is mostly marketing bullshit and a lot of us see right through it.

Most of us here have seen this episode already and know how it ends.

This will be the first thing to fail in my opinion. Toyota factory panhard mounts are wrapped around the bottom and side of the frame and tied into a crossmember. I've seen two setup like this fail because the force wasn't distributed enough. Boxing in the frame and plating it would have been a good idea, and not much cost in time or materials.

Got a link? I'm curious haha.

Agreed, doesn't look like that panhard is gonna clear the diff either. I had to come pretty far into my frame with the towers to clear the coilovers. I had to go back in a few times after tacking and cycling everything. Was a pain in the ass.

Same here. And that's exactly how mine is setup. I haven't experienced any binding, and after watching hours of GoPro footage of my rear setup doing its thing I can say that it moves well and doesn't bind. I only have about 6k miles on the new setup tho, so jury is still out on if the joints wear out faster.

I dont see how these shocks are going to clear the bed sides. Maybe it is just the angle / perspective.
