I would clamp it in the vise but I welded an extension on our M22 tap for another job and need all the height I can get.

 

There are two more parts for the frame job, one is a 2 1/2" O.D. solid roller 30" long that has a full knurl. My boss just ask me if I felt comfortable doing it

I said well, we don't really have any other option do we? He said not really, I said I'll try it but I'm not making any promises.

This is what we are after, my coworker made this one last year for the same machine. It was a perfect

I'll be lucky if mine even makes it through the qualifying round much less to the finals, after all it's only $125 piece of material

 

Today Dolly Parton turns 76 if you should happen to see her.
A beautiful, talented and classy lady who has been entertaining us for more than 60 years.

 

I feel like the knurl is just for show though as it has handles on it.

 

Dolly is an amazing singer, we went to Dollywood a few years ago, expensive but really nice place!

 

There is only about 1/4" of it that gets used, it pinches fabric on the bottom side. If you'll notice there is an offset hole on the end, the handles just lift it up when it pivots on those holes to get the fabric under, the rest is just for show.

 

Lady never forgot where She came from. Gives back without askin’. Pure Class right there.
