    Even more cramped than a Tacoma?

    OP, get a Tundra or a full size. What you are proposing makes zero economical sense for Toyota and would ultimately just be an underpowered full size truck.

    The new chevy electric silverado has that, but its more like the original avalanche instead of the cab and bed being 2 separate parts.

    Yeah, I do not want my kayak in the cab with me.... the smell, the mud, the slime, the weeds... I would rather leave it at the lake than put even part of it into the cab

    Mega cab would be best. Take a long bed double cab, swap the bed out for a short bed. Then weld the back half of a access cab to the double cab. Now you have seating for 5, space inside the cab for dogs, more people, or stuff.
