Ordered an ICON Stage 3 Suspension Kit back in August and the components have been arriving separately in the last few weeks. I have everything except for the rear shocks, because those were stolen before I was able to retrieve the package. Should I still go foreword and install with the components I have (UCAs, coilovers, leafs) and leave stock rear shocks... try to repurchase... or do you guys have alternates/suggestions to complete my kit?

For reference, I have a '20 TRD Sport and wanted this kit because I love all of the logging roads in Oregon. We have miles and miles of them that are fun to explore. No rock crawling or anything close to extreme, but was hoping this kit would help with the washboard surfaces and create a comfortable ride for the dips/obstacles that come with those unpaved roads.

There wasn't any insurance on that package to get it replaced?

If you want something to get you by, Bilstein 5160's are available in multiple lengths and are digressively valved (same as Icon) so they should pair up fairly decent with the fronts while keeping the reservoirs.

Fkin thieves - I don't know about the rest of you but I suspect the majority will agree with this statement ( or close to it ):

I'm 60+ years old and have never committed a felony in my life.

And, here's the real kicker.... it ain't that difficult.... am I right?

My parts arrived at different times. I installed the leaf packs first, then the coilovers, alignment, and took a 4k trip. I just couldn't do any serious wheeling. It was interesting feeling the changes from each part. The rear shocks definitely helped plant the rear and changed the overall feel.

No the real kicker is that the thieves opened the box and said "what the fuck are these?" And threw your new icons in a dumpster

You can install your front coilover & UCA, but leave the rear alone until you get the rear shocks. How long are you planning to wait?

I had a set of ski mountaineering bindings get stolen off my porch and said the exact same thing. No way the thieves knew what the hell they were

ICON says a 22-24 week lead time to get the rear shocks, I don't want to wait that long so may choose an alternate, find something in stock.

Check with your local folks. Some may have a spare set for when their Pro Fox's, Kings, or other big time shocks are out for rebuild. They might loan them out to you?

With the added lift in the rear you will want longer shocks. If it were me I'd pick up some cheap bilstein 5100's or OME shocks. Then save up for another ICON rear shock set.

I thought you kept your suspension stock.

Just curious, what did you go with?

I had to change up as the Stock setup was toast. Wheels bouncing all over the place after decent bumps.

I wanted to stay Stock height, or at least get back to it out back. But, new Icon RXTs put me up 1.5in with 1.5in of rake.

Bilstein 5100s front and 5125s rear.

5125s for the rear. 5100s are the same as Stock as their numbers are based on 2nd Gens.

    Oh nice!

My stock suspension was still great at 35k miles, considering I spent quite a lot of time in summers bouncing around FSRs. Think it could’ve went another 30-40k easily.

My new OME shocks/springs and dobinsons leafs are no comparison though. Little lift is nice too.

They said it would be $293 for another set, and they would work with me on that price, so that's not as bad as I thought (especially looking at retail listings). The 22-week lead time is a huge bummer but can't really beat that price point, so maybe I'll install the front coilovers/UCA and leave the rear stock until summer.
