    Well, my BIL made it through surgery today. He's still been in the hospital since before Christmas. They had to install a colostomy bag and take a sample from the infected bone for bacterium identification. Hopefully, he'll be able to kick the sepsis and be on the road to recovery and get back to trying to learn to walk again.

    glad to hear the surgery is done and good...my dad survived sepssis from a severely infected gall bladder this past summer, so Will send some of those healing vibes your way

    and thanks to all for the condolences for the cat. She is/was a scrappy neighborhood stray who followed my step son home 18 years ago...he is pretty torn up..."sitting in my dorm room crying lie a baby" was the last text I got.

    She is the 25th total animal rescue I have had in my life...and it doesn't become any easier to lose them...
