Ya, I want to make this a one time shot. Nothing is more annoying than a new paint job scratching off just by looking at it.

I'm currently looking into LMR lacquer interior paint. It's specifically for mustang restoration but looks strong enough to hold up in those high traffic areas. I plan to test it on my access cab wall panel to see if it does what it says it will. If that doesn't work, I might drop by a auto paint shop and see if they'll let me pick their brain.

 

Interesting. Yah def seems we need a better product or may just need to go over it with an clear enamel. I’m sure that would have helped to have a top coat.

 

New LED Solar Fan for camping. This thing is sweet.

 

Finally finished fixed up the damage to my dad's third gen.

We finished with a set of flat black rear bumper covers and as a bonus, we killed of the rest of the the chrome on his truck.

It's not perfect but it's 10x better than it was.

After doing a few mods to his 3rd gen I've noticed that adding aftermarket parts to it is waaay easier that a 2nd gen. The amount of plastic everything is ridiculous... Dare I say it?

Different, lol. Good and bad. Growing too fast to keep up. Life moves a little slower up here and while people are friendly for the most part, they are not happy about changes.

 

Finally got the freaking key out of the stupid lock I installed on the bed cubbies. Whatever you do, don't install these.

I hadn't seen that particular grille yet...it's subtle, I like it. Not too flashy like the chrome surround on the sr5 with trd offroad package.

 

Ya same here, its very clean looking. I did notice that the pro grille comes stock with raptor lights?

Edit: looking a bit closer, I think that's the TRD pro grille? The emblem looks like it interchangeable?

 

Holy carumba - new San Diego Taco guy here, and I've only gone through the first page of your mods and enhancements. Pretty dang cool, thank you for sharing. I'll read the rest of the thread before asking questions.
