That'll be something I won't need anyway for awhile

I mean, only if I actually wheeled anyway.

@Kwikvette don’t worry. By the time you decide you want a locker you’ll have the truck for sale

Have you tested your center locker, do you have a CDL switch? Does the CDL activate in low range? All good stuff to find out before you need it. Also did someone do the pin 7 mod yet.

Did test the CDL but at H, that's when we went to this playground area that's all dirt and got the locker kicking in.

Unfamiliar with the pin 7 mod ...

    This is the correct answer.

I wish I still had photos of the Frankenstein monstrosity I created years ago out of a pair of BW cases. Gah what a truck (it was a Bronco II and I loved it)

It was based off this post I found back in the day

Sunuva fattest ducking diddly ducks. My first ever thread (also first post) on this site turned into me asking a transmission rebuild question that went unanswered
That leap of faith I took to finish the rebuild ended up with the story in this thread

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/should-i-fight-the-transmission-shop.670487/

@eon_blue @CS_AR @Wulf @anyoneelsethatpostedIforgotabout that transmission and it's 5th gear pop out has plagued me since then.. legitimately has keept me up at night(some nights), and has made me question alot of major projects I've done at work where I have taken similar mechanical "leaps of faith"

I finally have resolution. May 2020 to Jan 2022. 1 year, 8 months and 11 days and I finally have my answer. I installed the FU$#@%& 5th gear synchro on backwards! The time stamp 8:57 to 9:31 of this video, from a channel I only rarely watch, explains why I failed in my first ever 5spd transmission rebuild.

What a journey it's been TW. What a journey it's been
