The 5th one or 6th one?

 

I'm enjoying my 7th decade at the ripe old age of 52.

 

Spent the day organizing my outdoor gear. It had been occupying a bonus br/bath I have above the garage. Been wanting to redo the two. Added some wood shelves to my basement and bought a bunch of 27 gallon totes at Lowe's (on sale for $11).

And found a nice 6 drawer dresser (all wood with dovetail joinery) for free on the side of the road. A few of the drawer tracks were missing screws and one was cracked/split. Glued and screwed everything back together. That's going up in that room and I'll put all my fly rods and gear in it.

 

Seems like there is never enough room for outdoor stuff.
Have one small room in the basement that looks like a tackle store.
Almost time to thin the herd.

 

Pics - no before, sorry. Still have some more organizing to do.

Mostly sleeping bags on that shelf. Would like something enclosed...ideas?

1/2 bath. Small shed dormer over garage.

 

Dresser:


New storage/totes and shelf/platform in basement.

 

And started another batch of cutting boards. Had a request for a large one (18x32). Used the leftover material for these. 4 12x16, 3 8x12 and 3 8.5x14

As a young kid I had a step great grandmother who had a large house with 2 bathrooms upstairs. She had lived in the house for at least 20 years alone after her husband died. She said she might go 2 years or more and not go upstairs. I remember I would go up there to explore the 3 bedrooms. They were like time capsules....frozen in time. But I remember the water in the toilets had long since evaporated from the bowls. Is that the case with this one? Or do you make it a point to take at least one weekly power shit up there?
