still not quite sure I follow. Hopefully these help. But you can move the location of the bottom strut. I’ve moved mine about an 1” lower so the door doesn’t open as high and interfere with my awning.

If these aren’t what you’re looking for let me know and I’ll try and do better next time.

Thank you so much, I can see how I confused you now. I was talking about the back door that you enter through! The big ambulance style doors.

I'm debating between keeping my tailgate (doing a gull wing style door) and the ambulance doors like you have. I can't find the measurements for the ambulance doors and the dealer recommended I do the smallest wedge but I think your wedge (which I believe is the middle size) would be safer. Thanks again for all your help!

Looking for leads on a specific quick disconnect:

I've got a 5kw Vevor (knock off all-in-one Chinese diesel heater) and I want to relocate the LCD/control panel from the unit to inside the bed. The LCD is a "universal" one that has a triangular 3-wire quick disconnect. Before I pull one apart and solder in an extension, does anyone know where I could either a premade extension w/ the quick disconnects or just the connectors themselves so I can make my own?
    diesel heater control LCD.jpg

I thought had some left over Deutsch connectors but cannot seem to find them for the life of me.

Mine too. I put an extra block in the bed slots to raise it up a bit.

Here is my truck bed setup. I am a rockhound, so a lot of my extended trips (2-3 week plus) are to remote areas to hunt rocks.

I have a cargoglide drawer with an aluminum extrusion platform on top. The platform is tall enough so that I can fit my buckets for rock specimens underneath, and fit wolfpacks on top, which are about the largest container I can fit through my side windoors anyways. The cargoglide was originally for a long bed so it has been hacked down for the short bed. Its ugly but the price was right.

I keep my Snomaster on the cargoglide normally, but for my trips I move it into the cab so I have a drink ice cooler in the bed. The platform does not extend all the way to the rear of the bed because the fridge and coolers are taller.

Hey guys, does anyone happen to know the dimensions from wheel well.....to wheel well in the turd gen? sorry, at work and don't have access to my truck to check and trying to draw out some plans. attempting to build my own setup. This is for the base part of the build. Also would you guys recommend cutting out pieces to save weight or is that really necessary ? 2nd gen forums were the only ones that popped up, sorry i had to infiltrate these :)

@TX_Taco88 ~43" at the base/most narrow. They are a lightly wider at the top

Thought I'd share the beginning of my (3rd gen) platform. Getting a taller shell so there should be room to sit upright when the middle section is removed. Not pictured is a 2x8 supporting the front piece with a lap joint connecting to the 2x4's. Also considering cutouts in the front piece so that bicycles can slot in with the front wheel removed. Then there's the next step of making cushions...
