    Can’t say!
I think they are happy with just going!
My boxer/husky (65lbs) always took shotgun in my AC. He and the wife would both try to get it first.
I have DCSB now and he’s ok with rear seats but still likes shotgun and takes it or driver if I leave him in truck. CDF5C41E-FCD9-467A-B4AD-61C3BBDD5EE9.jpg

Same question for me. I have a 70lb Lab/Husky/Shepherd who is a ball of energy and gets twisted in EVERYTHING. Want to keep her safe but haven't found something that works well yet.
Also your dog is stupid adorable.

Dogs don't really get "unhappy". They just wait patiently until they can be happy again.

This was the start of a trip from Indiana to South Dakota. He's sitting on my fridge. The other side has a dog bed on a crate.

This was near home on the return trip. :D

I reckon that pretty much any dog is stoked to be anywhere in the truck, and out for a ride with you.

I'll post one as soon as the sun comes up and the light is worthy.

The net was an Amazon buy:
NEPAK 3 Pcs Heavy Duty Cargo Net Stretchable,Car Cargo Net,Car Rear Cargo Net,Universal Adjustable Elastic Truck Net with Hooks,Universal Mesh Cargo Net Small

For some reason the link won't copy & paste as a link. Just the title comes through.

The rear plastic wall cover is very easy to remove. When I removed it to apply dyno-mat to the cab wall, I took the opportunity to attach the net to the plastic cover.

My Golden Retriever loves to sit on the dog platform and look out the back window. On long trips he lays on the platform and sleeps. When at stop lights, people are always taking pictures of him (posing like in the picture below). If you don't need a Double Cab for humans, I vote Access Cab.

So let me get this straight...you're asking if people's dogs are happy riding in the back seat? Really? That's what you're asking?

And you all just happily fed the troll/crazy pet "parent"?

    Disapproving stare to you all.

I asked my dog, he said the access cab is ok, but he prefers riding in the bed, like a real dog!

I have a small elderly beagle and a 3 yo 90lb GSD and they will both ride fairly comfortably on the platform I made in my access cab... much easier when it is just one or the other back there though. On long trips if it's not too hot or cold they are in the topper with their big comfy beds.

The GSD rode in the back seat this summer by herself on a 10 hr trip and was perfectly happy. They try to climb in the front seats sometimes so I purchased a Raingler cargo net for the access cab to make it safer, I just haven't installed it yet

Do you have an access cab and a medium to large dog? It's a valid question I think especially if you have a big dog, there isn't a ton of room back there. The person isn't asking if the dog is happy in *any* backseat, there is way less room in an access cab back seat than a car for example

Thanks for splaining that to me, pet "parent". (intentional misspelling, sorry for taking that retort off the table) Because it was totally lost on me that the back seat of the access cab is small, and that that was the reason for the inane question.

I now have a few questions for you:

1 - Did you give the "child" one of these to step on (or poke with nose/paw/tail) when you asked them how happy they were riding in the back of the access cab?

2 - Or did you just assume their happiness level? (one should never assume a sentient being's happiness level)

3 - Are you sure said "child" understood the question?

4 - Did you bark the question or ask in hooman speak? (again, intentional misspelling)
