    How much that run you?

No issues sucking in rain sand or mud like that?

I can see that being great for a XRunner but dunno if I'd put that on my off-road warrior.

Why not a snorkel or even a cowl snorkel?

Without having wheel liners what drove the decision of going front facing vs cowl/snorkel?

No surprise, but my super white started flaking in the same spot on both drivers and passenger side window sil's.

Thank's @theolee for the idea to vinyl wrap the b pillar like the 3rd gens. Although I prefer the look without the wrap, I prefer the wrap to the paint flake so the lesser of 2 evils.

Out of curiosity I got a quote of $400 from a local shop to have this done, but I'm pretty sure that was the fuck you price. $15 in vinyl off Amazon and a half dozen "goddammits" and its done. Not perfectly but good enough for now.

Some German car shop on eBay sells fake ARB snorkel for $170 probably made at the same factory in China if you’re looking for one

I got in on a legit ARB snorkel group buy a couple years ago but you're probably not wrong.

Even if it's lesser quality than legit it's probably more than good enough for most folks though I can say my ARB one is pretty skookum.

My 2010 is flaking in a lot of places. I have been thinking about just raptor lining the entire truck eventually.

Well just got back into a Tacoma. Bought a used/new one for me. A 2012 double cab 2.7 automatic with 71000 miles on it. Got it 2 days ago. Changed transmission fluid today. Going to do it every 30000 miles. It is the SR package. Don't like the steel rims so ordered some chrome hubcaps to cover them. Will see how the look and will take some pictures. Ordered new running boards, fog lights, and filter to do the secondary air pump. removed the secondary air filter and running stock filter at the moment. Will probably install the AFE dry filter later. Will take pictures as I install stuff that I ordered.

No rain no dirt. Why spend 400 plus and cut my fender for a snorkle? And I have done plenty of off road and have not had a problem.

Why cut any more on my truck? This works fine, have had no problems with dirt of water on my filter since. I don't sink it while off roading so why a snorkle?

    @Sideways1

    Because snorkels look cool!

    PXL_20211229_133138383.jpg

Plus I gained about 1mpg with having it and my other intake mods.

Where's the actual intake for that front scoop? Through the fan?

I did a similar version on my truck when I had it. It comes in over top of the radiator and fan shroud. I did a piece of 3" aluminum with a 90 degree bend though. Full 3" all the way through. Never had single issue with it through torrential rain, blizzards, mud, dust, dirt, etc.

My reason was more to free up near the ABS module to try and fit a second battery, but never got around to it before I sold the truck.

    Nice nice.

    Here's mine:

    PXL_20211224_163839712.jpg

I hated the tiny triangle filter shoved way up high hard to reach over the engine and the massive silencers and unnecessary bends in the intake so I got a FJ cruiser box big beefy filter with cyclonic separator in it, 4" to 3.5" cocktail shaker tube with airflow straightener 3" MAF tube, eventually want to do the 76mm (3" ish) Tundra throttle body over the factory 2.65" TB.

I did have to relocate and trim my washer bottle and build a bracket for it and the PS res.

    Worth it.

Throttle response improvement and MPG improvement.

I did the cowl mod a while ago. It's been great so far and it's cheap 08C85F9D-0A8E-42BE-8F4A-0B03801C63E0.jpg

I have Wheeler's. Just make sure you spray the old ones with a little PB Blaster before trying to remove them (if you live in a spot where they salt the roads).
