Why cut any more on my truck? This works fine, have had no problems with dirt of water on my filter since. I don't sink it while off roading so why a snorkle?

    Because snorkels look cool!

    PXL_20211229_133138383.jpg

Plus I gained about 1mpg with having it and my other intake mods.

Where's the actual intake for that front scoop? Through the fan?

I did a similar version on my truck when I had it. It comes in over top of the radiator and fan shroud. I did a piece of 3" aluminum with a 90 degree bend though. Full 3" all the way through. Never had single issue with it through torrential rain, blizzards, mud, dust, dirt, etc.

My reason was more to free up near the ABS module to try and fit a second battery, but never got around to it before I sold the truck.

    Nice nice.

    Here's mine:

    PXL_20211224_163839712.jpg

I hated the tiny triangle filter shoved way up high hard to reach over the engine and the massive silencers and unnecessary bends in the intake so I got a FJ cruiser box big beefy filter with cyclonic separator in it, 4" to 3.5" cocktail shaker tube with airflow straightener 3" MAF tube, eventually want to do the 76mm (3" ish) Tundra throttle body over the factory 2.65" TB.

I did have to relocate and trim my washer bottle and build a bracket for it and the PS res.

    Worth it.

Throttle response improvement and MPG improvement.

I did the cowl mod a while ago. It's been great so far and it's cheap 08C85F9D-0A8E-42BE-8F4A-0B03801C63E0.jpg

I have Wheeler's. Just make sure you spray the old ones with a little PB Blaster before trying to remove them (if you live in a spot where they salt the roads).

LOL true they do look cool, but my truck already has that covered.

The FJ box while it bolts right in like it belongs there (because the fender pans for the FJ, Tacoma, 1st gen Tundra, 4th&5th gen 4Runner, some others etc are all the same) would have been hard up again the factory washer bottle so I made a temporary bracket as proof of concept that's somehow become permanent ad I've never had an issue but I did have to shorten my washer bottle to clear the hood.

I rarely use my washers so losing a 1/5 gallon capacity is whatever.

I currently have Durobumps on my front and have made good use of them, very very happy with them.

    https://youtu.be/9ANF8q23eY4

Wheelers on the back but I haven't tested them yet, they seem a lot softer than the Duro's, had Timbrens in rear during that vid.

    PXL_20220111_174456888.jpg

I'm concerned they're too soft, but a lot of people swear by them, the Durro's feel perfect didn't even realize I had fully bottomed out up front on the little bunny hop.

The Timbrens were pretty good but they were a little too tall and returned the energy a little too readily, they didn't absorb much they compressed then rebounded equally more like a spring in my experience, probably would have been better with better rear springs but I got what I got for now.

Even though it's drawing air from behind the radiator (I have the Volant Air Dam similar to the AFE), I'm removing the air dam, capping the air intake for it and installing a Dobinsons snorkel for cleaner air and reduced problems with shallow water crossings.

Well the on board water system is coming along. Went and picked up the water tank to place on top of the bed rack today. Custom Made! It's sweet. I'll post more pics when entire system is installed. My Dog is great boy too! He's a 48 lbs 8 month old rescue puppy! Cross Posted in the Georgia BS Thread!

Since calmini screwed me over and never got around to being a competent company, I had to dig my original bumper out of storage and modify it to work with my fiberglass fenders. 2nd bad west coast company experience recently.

Not a huge fan, doesn't look as mean as it used to, but It'll do for a while. Still have to do some trimming to get it perfect.
