Today I stopped by my local Summit Racing warehouse. Found out they had these replica TRD Grilles in stock so I picked one up. Got home, unboxed everything - but the package was missing 4 small screws to attach the nameplate.

My TSS Sensor garnish won’t be here til tomorrow anyways, so I’m just wondering - does anyone know what kind or where I could get some screws to use?

From what I’ve seen, the actual OEM grille doesn’t use any screws to attach the nameplate and it’s one solid molding.

If the store is local, why not go back and get some screws from the place you bought it from?

    Welcome to Tacoma World :hattip:

They are probably just a small coarse thread screw that cuts it's own threads in the plastic.
Try going to a real hardware store like Ace, True Value, Sentry, etc. they should be able to fix you right up for a dollar or so.

Box stores like Lowe's & Home Depot probably have the screws but not the person with the knowledge to help you select them.

Well the grill isn’t made by Summit Racing - it’s a Chinese company just like all the other replicas you find on Amazon or any of the aftermarket Tacoma sites (Yotaverse, Tacomabeast, etc) I just didn’t want to order from those places and wait for shipping. I’m just wondering if anyone knows what kind/size screws are used that I could go pick up somewhere.

    Oh look, another mod....

Take it back to Summit. I bought my grille and letter inserts from Taco Vinyl:

    And hello, neighbor!

Odd but the product title and description both say "one-piece".

Edit: Was this on the clearance rack by chance? My local summit always has a bunch of random stuff in their clearance racks/bins. If this was there it would make a lot more sense. Otherwise return it.

I would agree with this. If you’re really not interested in bringing it back to them, which I would do first and foremost..Bring the dang thing to the place with the helpful hardware folks (aka Ace if you didn’t pick up on that) and they’ll get you going on your way.

It's a generic size screw. Stop by Home Depot or lowes and test fit.
