I have been looking for almost a year now and no one has them. I tried some online stores that say they can reprogram the one you have or just some that will say they have them in stock but none ever do. I love this truck, it was my dads truck and I have been driving it since I was 15. its been used hard but nothing else is wrong with it. 315,000 miles and wish it was still going. the part number is 89661-04190. any help finding one would be awesome. im wating to give it to my son who turns 16 in 2 years. thank you guys.17098149_1567223469969578_8937911439339797076_n.jpg

I have no experience with this company. I was looking for ECM connectors and this site popped up.

Remains to be seen I bought the tires and wheels the rest came along
There are a few companies that rebuild them I would have to look what company I used to be positive I had several done.

Just what is the problem yours needs replaced ?

Water damage and Voltage spikes and physical damage are about the main case for failure

    Good Luck!!

It just died while I was driving down the road. I tried to plug my obd reader into it and it wouldn't even connect to the truck

Have you checked the fuses and the ground??

If battery voltage drops to low it will shutdown and go in hibernation to protect it`s self.

Kinda risky just plugging in a new pcm without diagnosing what happened.

yeah that was the first thing I checked when I got it home. that and the relays. they are all good still. as far as the ground goes I am not that good with electrical but from what i could see all the wires where good with no chaffing or exposed wires.

Check for power and ground and the pcm, check for +5v at a couple of key on sensors.

All kinds 3 inch body lift/2 1/2 suspension lift. 31/11 1/2/15 tires All work done by myself for years. The only work performed by mechanic was fuel pumps. I also have a 90 Mustang 350 hp and I can never understand how come my Tacoma gets more respect Just got a 99 Jeep TJ that I rebuilt, and painted in the garage
They really dont just go bad like a Jeep. Usually they have to be submerged in water. Those Japanease know their electronics.
