    $170ish
Not including the big hole saw
    And optional syklone precleaner

why? So the truck can go through water without worry

fenders are $50. The truck is old. The snorkel covers the hole you cut.

depends on your intended use. If the use is 2wd in a sunny state as a work truck for a lawn mowing business then it’s not needed

cleans up the engine bay. A simple tube exiting. As opposed to cowl intake mod (direct intake to suck in rain water from cowl area mod)
Doesn’t reduce visibility much given the truck already has big pillars and grab handle there

Yes. But I ain't dropping the rear end pulling the engine again. It's just going to have to stay there once it runs out.

No worries I was just curious I have seen these intakes posted but never seen one in use and was curious about the water at the front for deeper water crossings. I went cowl intake cause that was the main thing that worried me.

Is your FJC intake box from a 10-14 year model?

    Appreciate that!

They agreed to a refund and now I have the story that they already sent the money but I havent gotten it? Its 2022, it takes minutes to wire money across the world. They are liars. Period.

Does that flap between the engine intake and HVAC actually help with the noise?

I'm surprised Calmini is still even in business, I remember them from my Isuzu days and they sucked back then too.

    Repairs look great.

Reminds me when I had my brand new 1992 4X4 Toyota Truck. My pride and joy as a young man. I had 2 fender benders during the 14 years I owned it. I went off on on both guys on each incident as it was both 100% their faults. Owning these trucks you can't help feel very protective about them. However, it's only a hunk of metal with insurance. I have reflected back and did feel that I may have over reacted. Heat of the moment and your pride and joy gets damaged through no fault of your own can get the better of one self.

    Stand up for yourselves!

I know this doesn’t apply to everyone but I figured I’d share my story nonetheless.

I was given a quote for a frame plug install (part of Toyotas frame rust prevention servicing package which many of you received free of charge, the other part being the interior of the frame ((for second gen Tacomas)) treated with a fluid film before being plugged). Toyota’s cost of the fluid film treatment, $1000.00 was too steep for my blood so I had Crown fluid film my truck for $150.00 instead (they did a stellar job) and commissioned Toyota to install the frame plugs. I was quoted 1.5 hours and a price of $220.00 for the maintenance, the plugs themselves ran me $80something. While I was being quoted the technician who handles all of the frame prevention maintenance orders happened to be standing next to the service associate and said something along the lines of “If you do it today I’ll have you out of here with A QUICKNESS, I do this all the time.” I had other plans so scheduled the servicing a week later. The job ended up taking two hours and as I sat down to pay the servicing associate handed me a bill for $290.00. I was expecting the possibility of a higher fee as the job took 30 minutes longer. If my truck had been in for mechanical purposes I probably would have taken the increase on the chin but as the job itself was merely plugging plastic plugs into and around the frame along with the technician boasting in front of me how easy the job was along with my original quote…. I politely held firm on the original time servicing quote, met with some initial resistance but stood fast and left the dealership paying no less than what was originally quoted. I know it’s only $70.00 but I feel it’s important to pick and choose your battles and I felt this was a battle worth engaging in.
In this day and age I feel it’s more important than ever to assert yourself and to always stand up for yourself. I wasn’t being bullied or belittled or anything but I felt as though the dealership was taking me for a bit of a ride.
    Anyways, thanks for reading.

That's the evil thing about hydrolock. You may have caused irreparable damage and won't truly know it until it punches holes through the oil pan. I had that happen to my T100 in Panama, Central America, in 1990. Survived being flooded, but about a week later while driving down the road it blew apart. It was a hard lesson to learn. Drain and flush to see if you have water in the oil. Water passing by the rings is a good indiction your engine was compromised.
