Hello guys i just received my dasaita vivid HU. I haven't installed it yet as i am doing the speaker + sound deadening first.

I just noticed this in one of the wiring, does anyone know what the back and brake wires are for?

13.3 inches of screen, very cool. Congratulations on the purchase.

The brake wire is supposed to keep you from playing dvd's and making calls when the parking brake is disengaged, but you can just ignore it. I did.

I'm not too sure about the "Back" wire though. Probably not too important. Youll find that there's a bunch of useless wires during the install. That massive wire harness is pretty much universal.

Good luck with the install. Pictures requested

I will post an update soon on the install. Im currently doing the speakers upgrade + sound deadening on the doors. Im surprised The OEM speakers can make those sounds considering how small the magnets are.

The OEM headunit sucks under volume 35. Anything past 35 the new speakers sound good but its too darn loud. I hope the dasaita can fix this problem.

Pretty sure that is for launching the photon torpedoes.

Seriously though, some models have a switch that allows you to turn off the passenger airbag.

Hello guys, here is the finished product.

Ordered from dasaita website. I thought it would take months but they fedex it so it came in 7 days. So i had to order the rest of the parts. Sound deadening speakers backup camera front camera and under seat subs.

story short. Radio Install was plug and play! The hazard and camera (F+R) is a different story.

I had to put pieces of electrical tape to prevent it from wiggling left and right. And i used some velcro tape to attach the oem bracket. i go offroad and im afraid it will break free from the housing.

You’ll be fine. I didn’t bother using any of thr stock mounts. I just have it clipped in. I got offroad a lot and haven’t had any issues. It’s not a very heavy unit. I also have a tpam on top that adds more weight and doesn’t come off either.

for the hazard it’s made for pre 2012. If you get an old radio the lower part is needed then your good to go. Nice and solid.

since you added the mounts you shouldn’t have any issues.

thanks for the advice on off roading. I definitely over did it.

And i also poked holes on the air vent to blow some cold air on the head unit. The inside gets super hot!!

Maybe a bit overkill. So far never had an issue on long drives of prolonged user 8+ hours drives. It has its bugs like any android unit but aside from that all good but nothing wrong with some protecting and extra mounting.

Does anyone have luck with hot spots or 4G dongles? I usually just run CarPlay but I like the idea of having connectivity in the car at all times. I have gone back and forth on trying to make an android tablet sim work or getting a hot spot but no real good one. No rush but curious what folks have done.

Seperate who has upgraded their Android 9 to Android 10? I have seen a few write-ups about upgrading. It does require a complete wipe and start over which sucks but with a decent PX6 that just didn't get a10, it seems worth it instead of buying a new HU.

The Android 10 interface looks a whole lot cleaner than the 9.
