Hello all. So i noticed that whenever people try to get in my car, like my dads, they always reach for the arm handle thingy on top of the passenger side door but there is no arm hanger there haha and they would have to look and grab it on the side of the windshield's pillar. so my question is: Are there any sort of aftermarket options available to put the "arm handles" there so it makes it easier for them boomers and i too on the driver side to get in and out of the truck easier? I know my old man's 95 SR5 has them on top of the doors but not on the windshield's pillar. Must i snatch those off the SR5 while my old man is asleep?

I too wish I had those grab handles on the driver and passenger side. My hubby’s 4Runner has them and when I drive my truck I try to look for it in mine just to hold on to lol

My wife had the same issue while ridding on the passenger seat. So I used some Jeep roll bar handles and looped through the window and door frame. Looks ugly but it works.

UPDATE UPDATE UPDATE: i have decided since the rear seats have those two grab handles right on top of the doors and that is exactly what i need. i will look into going to the junkyard and grabbing those off of another tacoma and when it is warm enough here to work on the taco again i will try to fabricate those two onto the front doors like how toyota did the rears. will update once winter is over with here in wisconsin. thanks for the help and tips!

    LMAO

KTJO only makes A pillar driver side handles.
Nothing for ceiling by your head handles aka ceiling grab handles.

Take photos and write down some notes for us since it’s been several of us who have wondered about it. The rear ones are bolted into brackets that are part of the cab structure.

There is a thread on here about someone who did this. I can't find it right now, but it may have been on a second gen?

Edit: Here is it - https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/front-seat-oh-shit-handles.562990/
