Philly has restrictions on eat in places. Need to show your vax card or negative test result. Dalessandro's web site says take out only and they have a new order system.

With a group our size I just kind of assumed everyone would be eating off their tailgates. I planned to bring an outdoor propane heater and I think @JoeySauce did too, should help keep us warm!

Don't know. This is a rare occasion for me to go into Philly. Just what I hear on the news.

Will do, most likely nothing to worry about but I’m not willing to risk other peoples healths based on my assumptions even if the chance is low.

I read a bunch or reviews and it's hard to find a clear winner. I do like fries though.

My take away, the meat is the same type, the rolls are the same type, C's meat is larger, more flake style pieces, D's is more like ground meat it's chopped so small, C's onions are larger and not cooked as well, D's are smaller and have more sear/flavor. Fries vs Chips. Both sell beer. C's has a full bar. Neither of which hold a candle to a 4Loco in a fruit flavor that's been on the shelf for months. I almost didn't want to drink for hours after that.

In college we would do Philly runs and I would eat two from Geno's before hauling ass back to NoVA, was always the right choice.

Sounds like us, only years later. There's (still) a place on Dundalk Ave. near Logan Village, in Maryland called Capt. Harvey's. In high school, we would go there and the line was like any of these places in Philly. You went in, and there was likely 200 lbs of steak and 100 lbs of onions cooking on the grill. As you entered, a person behind the counter wanted to know if you were getting steak or cheesesteak. The next person wanted to know what was on it, the next, any sides, then you paid and at the end picked up your food. The magic part was that from the time you entered to the time you paid you never stopped moving!

No lie, compared to any other sub shop in or around the area, no one even came close to serving as much meat on a sub as Capt. Harvey's. Some amatures even say it's a disgusting amount and way too much for one sub roll [collective gasp].

Later, working for a local company, with employees from the surrounding areas, including Dundalk, we would make sub runs from over on North Ave & I-83 with a cooler and come back with like 25 - 30 subs.

    This is an example
