How do you think it'll be stolen, anything can be towed away I suppose, if you want it not to drive away maybe a killswitch to the EFI circuit opening relay?

This is the question. Think like a thief for a minute... are you worried about someone sticking a screwdriver in the ignition and driving it away? Putting it on to a flatbed? Cutting the cats out?

Then ask: What does your insurance cover, and what are you willing to repair/replace? If someone tries to steal your truck and fails or gets caught, would you rather get it back trashed or take the insurance money and replace it?

Then find a nicer truck and park next to that.

You can't theft-proof anything. Best you can do is make stuff sufficiently inconvenient or unappealing to discourage someone from messing with it.

    There’s always the club.

I’ve had thoughts about putting a magnetic reed switch behind a panel. Would give me something to do with all these rockauto magnets.

@jubei is trying to find a way to disable his truck temporarily, meanwhile there are other guys struggling to get theirs running

    Stuff. Also things.
I also have a hardwired Ring camera above the truck so I can watch it get stolen.

I like the idea of a kill switch. I also like the idea of a fake kill switch somehow wired to a big ol’ cap that discharges when the switch is thrown. Ha!

Yeah, if someone really wants it, it’s theirs. A hidden kill switch for the EFI would be a nice touch.

Copy that. I totally get that even if a vehicle is in a garage, a determined thief will still find a way given the opportunity. I’d just like to disincentivize it as much as possible.

It has full coverage, btw. As with most of our trucks, it would suck losing all of the work that I put in as much as the truck itself.

Manual transmissions are fastly becoming great for anti theft.

The Master Tailgaters rear view mirror system i have supposedly has multiple anti theft sensors that trigger the system to record on all 3 camera angles and it also has its own internal battery.

The entire system probably has about a 10% chance of working at any given time but maybe I just got one of the bad ones?

I did that in high school when I had to leave mine parked in a back parking lot 1 mile from the international bridge everyday.

@Speedytech7 @Kwikvette @Wulf or anyone else, I am looking for a decent plasma cutter. I came across this Lotos on Amazon for $250 and retails at Home Depot for almost $400.
Any one have experience with it?
