Are you using the OEM rf1a gears? or 4.7?
I haven't seen that little plate gear thing before in any builds or any mention of it anywhere else.
Got any information on that and why you installed it?

Looks like 2.28 MC 23 Total spline input. But a TG 2.28 Countershaft gear? That thin gear is a Silencer that came from the factory and comes with TG 2.28 gear sets. MC gears do not have this as the countershaft gear teeth are wider and have a more flowing cut (forget the actual name) to minimize gear whine vs factory sets. Believe the TG 4.7s are also wider removing the need for this.

    Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying.
Makes sense why I'd never seen that part in that case.

Its an odd piece I learned about from LowRange a few years ago, cant make that much of a difference because these cases still whine when put in gear. :turtleride::anonymous:

haha i was at a dinner last night and had to explain to everyone (because of a comment my gf made) what TW was, how i met a bunch of internet truck people in moab, and what the difference between overlanding and rock crawling is. That was an entertaining tale.

Good luck! Try to flex the suspension as much as possible and you should be good. Don't catch too much on fire!

I have a 2.28 MC comp input and new bearings on that and the stock counter shaft. I just repressed that oil slinger or silencer thing back on with the new bearing... But when I put it together it didnt mesh well and I saw nobody else using it so I unpressed and took it off.
