What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

I didn't realize that, but yeah that's pretty lame. 45min should be minimum, and an hour is preferred. I guess that way they can milk the episodes and make people wait longer

EDIT: Just checked and the latest episode is 46min and not 30

 

The eps are mostly different lengths. I think they just go for as long as they tell the story they want to tell.

 

Oh, and I agree. The motorcycle gang thing was just weird, and the mods thing is kind of whatever.

 

I HATED those dumbass motorcycles.

 

Especially considering the earlier episode had actual speeder bikes. The cyberpunk hipster scooter things just looked lame by comparison. I felt like I was watching Star Wars Back to the Future part II.

 

They just didn't fit. So dumb.


I just finished Archive 81, that was great.

 

It's like any Star Wars story now is like trying to get a month's worth of toothpaste out of the tube that was empty two months back.

Peacemaker on HBO Max is proof that just because its a superhero show, it isn't good.

It's one of those instances where it was good in moderation. I enjoyed the character in the movie but didn't need to see it as a show.

 

Exactly, in the movie it was hilarious. But this show man, just cant get into it.

I'm a huge Louie Anderson fan. Really enjoyed his show Life with Louie as a kid and his stand up comedy bits as an adult. I have family in MN, so felt a small connection there too. Very sad to read news of his passing this afternoon. RIP Louie.

Okay, I've been re-watching Narcos (I'm up to the end of Season 2, haven't gotten to 3 yet). So far, I really like it, but I do hate one thing:

Subtitles. Fuck, this seems like a dumb thing to complain about. But I hate having to READ while I'm watching a tv show! First world problems, right? I want to concentrate on what the actors are doing, not saying.

I love the series. But im upset that i cant speak spanish well after watching/reading.

 

I'm so used to subtitles it doesn't bother me anymore, in fact I usually turn them on for everything now. Once we had our daughter I had to get used to watching the TV with super low volume at night (small house) so subtitles became the norm.

But yeah, with shows like Narcos you really have to be glued to it the entire time so you don't miss any dialogue, unless you know Spanish
