What are you streaming on Amazon, Netflix, etc?

Dexter: New Blood was a much better ending to the Dexter series than the original finale was 10 years ago. Though thats a low bar to meet haha. I enjoyed it though

 

I know "Spanglish". If you're from Texas, you'll know what I'm talking about. You know just enough to get you by. I can hear a few words and piece a sentence together.

 

I was pissed that the series ended abruptly. But, everything has to end sometime.

 

Lived there for about 8 years as a kid and mostly Southern CA since, I'm pretty well versed in Spanglish myself lol. I'm better at speaking it though than I am understanding it when it's spoken fast & fluently

There is also Narcos "Mexico" (I just discovered this version). It has 3 seasons also. Hey, more shit to binge watch, err...read!

 

I watch quite a bit of British TV. I am here to tell you, whatever language a lot of people speak in Great Britain, it is NOT proper English. Mush and jumble. Accented all wrong. Must use subtitles.

But yeah, some movies and sports, no need.

I’m a plus one on subtitles. Just watched “the forgotten battle” and the English speakers had no subtitle, which drove me nuts. Tried multiple times to turn them on to no avail.


Just wait until you get hooked on CC subtitles… there are whole sections of dialogue you never knew you were missing.

I know this is a Netflix thread, but I found the "Nobody" movie. It's on HBO tonight (if you live in North Texas that is).

I’m watching the boardwalk empire. Just on first episode but seems decent

 

It was really good but it was cancelled a little too soon. They produced a final season to wrap up most of the story, but there was a time jump between seasons. They skipped over some pretty important real-life events, like the St. Valentine's Day Massacre, so they could focus on the mc's story arc. Definitely still worth watching. Almost as good as the Sopranos.

 

To say almost as good as sopranos puts some heavy weight, as Sopranos is one of best shows ever. Look forward to keep watching then. Thanks for the info

 

Boardwalk Empire was great, but ended too soon thanks to HBO cancelling it for some dumb reason or another. The ending was awfully rushed
