Well no, I’m pretty sure they collect the shit from garbage bins at a dog park for example.

One of the positions in those companies is cutting each shit bag open and separating the plastic from shit… They were advertising this position on a local radio and the offer was a measly 25$ an hour. I can’t even imagine doing this for a 100$ an hour.

I'm sure they do that as well, but it clearly says on the side of the truck, "WE PICK UP DOG POOP." In fact I know people who use these services and it's not because they're debilitated and can't do it themselves.

Probably the same type of folks who are impulse buying new & used vehicles right now paying $10-20k over book cuz their previous vehicle of 3 years was "getting old."

Pure profit to me; My Tacoma has been paid off since 2012 or 2013, it just got a new frame courtesy of Toyota USA, and I'm saving up to buy a house...

I was just telling another TW member that while I have been driving for DoorDash on and off since July 2019, I have never used their services as a customer; There's a reason for that!

Mine is less than 40 miles from hitting 144K miles; The only thing it has ever needed engine-wise outside of routine maintenance is an $8.50 PCV valve!

The aliens that are watching over this planet look down every day and see somebody picking up dog shit, and it’s easy to tell who is the higher life form.

I have a 2013 AC that I bought a year and a half ago - and I have a similar plan - it had 55K on it when i bought it and we are now at 60K and it should last me forever.

    NO JOKE -
I first saw one of these pickup trucks when I was in town a few years back and had to do a double take..
It had a pile of bags of dog poo in the bed = so gross..

I scoop my own dog poop.
Otherwise my buttface seems to wind up stepping in his own shit - and since he sleeps in my bed and literally runs all over my house, that is gross

    here is the crackhead -
    he is 11mo old

Interesting. Never would've thought this was a job path.

Butt, I can see the need. Dog parks, sports fields, city parks, public outdoor areas.......

I have a dog, we walk 3-4X/day. Always have a supply of poo bags to collect the "gifts". Fortunately, my dog is only 17 lbs, so his gifts are not mountains, just tootsie roll sized. So happy that I don't have a Mastiff, St. Bernard or similar large breed.

I do know when my dog is on a raw diet that his "gifts" are less and smaller. Kibble has so much undigestable filler.......it just passes as large "gifts".
Hmmmm.....imagine cleaning a pit under a cow or hog barn.......:annoyed:

Anyhow, the work certainly isn't any worse than a septic tank or porta-potty service. Actually, in some aspects, the work may be cleaner.

Did not know these companies existed but with all the complaints about people not picking up their dogs poop in my neighborhood- we probably need one

Your v6 should last a long time, my brother has an 07 with close to 300k on it - original drivetrain no issues. Mine is the 2.7 so no power but I’m getting 23-24 mpg
