I've been considering one for years given the price point. I've known of a few that had the 40 and it was very hit or miss whether they liked it. It sounds like the machines are picky and prone to needing a lot of tweaking to stay in use

On my 97 Camry and 98 4 runner the EGR codes were triggered by a temp sensor that you replaced with a resistor to make them go away

On my 96 Camry the EGR is all vacuum operated only a thermal valve and vacuum switching valve

When I deleted it the EGR code popped up... I plugged in the vsv so it still seems that

It threw p0401 and p0402... I don't know how it tells that the EGR is or isn't doing it's job so don't know how to fool it into believe it's there to clear the code

Would you happen to know? It's got an IAT and MAP sensor no MAF

 

One needs to consider the cost, and availability of consumables as well.

 

I found one on craigslist for $200 used for 2 cuts. Can't beet the price. I'v spent more on cut wheels over the last few years. That's why I was considering it.
