a bud of mine at work lives back toward the mountains. got home this morning from niteshift. took a pic of -8 on thermometer and power was out. it was 40* in the house. thats freakin cold for around here. power is back on for him thank goodness

 

I feel for you guys down there, it’s not normally that cold. Up here our brains have adapted, sort of. Two guys at work are still wearing shorts to work, kids.

 

We have people still wearing shorts also. One guy doesn't even wear a jacket. It funny watching him run out to his truck.

 

well i got pratical joked at work last week. working nite shift. snow storm is headed our way. boss asked what i was going to do. said if this crew starts bailing then im going home,if not here for the nite.later im climbing up on trimmer to makeready a job. here comes bud from another line. grab me by the shoulder and said you can go im taking your place. What? Sherry said you were going home. No! not till this crew bails. looking
me right in the eye.boss said she is sending everyone home that drives a Toyota so yal dont get stuck and cry.then bust out laughing. look and there stands boss and few others laughing at the end of the line,had to laugh,he never cracked a smile till the end. we go home the same way,actually when i left he was behind me till turning off on his road.lol

 

10:23...I suppose it's time to get outta bed and make breakfast and coffee ...but, in my defense, I WAS up pretty late last night

Good morning everyone! Stayed up watching the snow and 7 episodes of madam secretary. I’m probably not going to be worth a crap today. It looks like a heard of cattle have been in our yard!

Just a shot in the dark. I am looking for a specific German Shepherd Dog breeder specializing in "West German Working Bloodline" GSDs. Some may not know that there is a world of difference between a show bloodline vs working bloodline, DDR vs West German vs Czech Working bloodlines. The West German Working Bloodline is as close as you can get to the original German Shepherd Dog. I am looking for a loyal to a fault working dog as well as a home companion. Some hardness preferred. Must possess a very strong prey and guarding drive.
Just so you know most back yard breeders unknowingly bring back more problems into the breed when they breed GSDs. No offense to anyone. I invite you to PM me
