Keyless entry

Looking to buy an aftermarket key fob for my 2016 Tacoma. Any advice? Btw first time on this site!

 

There's a thread on here where people got the Lexus key card working. If I were to change my fobs, I'd do that. I know, it's not aftermarket.

Unless you're referring to just changing the plastics and transferring the guts over?

 

Not understand Lexus key card? Just talked to dealership and new fob is $360. Looking for options

Do you currently have keyless entry or just the power locks?

 

You will need to get ahold of the same fob you previously had. From there contact someone from here who is local to you. Look for names and places under the "These folks will help with updating your Taco with the latest ECU TSBs:" section. They should have Techstream installed and should be able to program the key to your vehicle for a significantly smaller fee than the dealership would charge.
