Depends on your Generator and How much your Inverter machine is effected by Raw power.

Your not going to know till you try.

It should not hurt anything just Poor Output or It might not have any.

hahaha I’m so nice I brought them out to our driver and loaded them on the truck and everything!

He just told me recently that we won’t be looking for work through 2025. We work on most of the Star Wars shows. Currently working on season 3 of The Mandalorian. Did The Book of Boba Fett and will be doing the Asohka series as well

More practice time last night. Pretty cool when your 12 year old says ‘hey dad can we weld?’. Me - ‘hell yeah!’

One thing I suggest, run stringers before running a stitch or pattern. You'll get a good idea on the changes you need to make regarding heat, wire speed, and even movement speed.

Yes it's boring, but you learn to read your welds better. Especially when you're running a T or something, you can tell by the convexity of your weld, how well you're penetrating.

For the meantime, keep up the good work! That's awesome.

Seeing you're in TX is a bit of a bummer!

We end up with a lot of scrap at work and sometimes I bring some pieces to a classmate that likes to weld at home.

Got a few pieces of scrap in my car now that I'm taking to him

A lot of us post our work; this is one a classmate of mine snapped of me last week performing said work

Didn't even know until today; vertical up on stainless steel. Need that 30 degree angle for sure -

That's some pretty quick turn around on the PC. Most coaters are a couple weeks back.

    The bins look great!

Yeah man I was surprised at how fast they came back. It was under a week!

Thanks! I appreciate it. Proud of how they turned out

I am definitely a lover of my MIG welder and use it more than anything. But, farmers in my area have brought me some rusted, broken stuff that led me back to the stick welding my Dad always brags about as he watches me clean metal before welding with either my MIG or TIG units. "I could weld right through that with a stick welder...". "I know Dad, but...".

Stick welding definitely can come in handy, and it's pretty user friendly. No gas bottle, worries about windy conditions outside the garage, grinding off rust,... Since getting good at MIG, I catch myself wanting to find something to stick weld, just for the variety. It also has a certain old school strength factor about it.

    No, I get it.

I genuinely have fun with stick, and when we have days where we run specific rods, I go out and work the harder, technical stuff every time.

I do a lot of verticals while others work flat.

I'll work pipe when we have the opportunity as well.

And I think I enjoy it more knowing I don't need to get good at it, cause I won't rely on it for work.

So yeah, I'll have a stick welder just cuz :welder:

I didn't realize how much of a game changer the portaband with the swag table is! Mocking up my tire carrier.

I cheaped out and got the table top only that clamps in a vise a couple years ago. now that I realize how much I use it, I might have to get the V3 with the quick detach option. They’re perfect for making small brackets and such.

Yeah I was looking at the cheaper one but figured a few extra bucks would be worth it in the long run.
