The sound is great. The sub gave it the missing piece. Very happy!

Ah. Goes hand in hand with the old "I don't need safety glasses as long as I can blink fast enough" method.

    Safety squints = Safety shuffle

    Those are great!!
I have a new mantra when grinding. Safely squint .. safety shuffle... It's almost like bobbing and weaving.

Finally got to drive the Taco today after this (plus a hellish fuel pump replacement project). All the vibration is gone! :)

Expensive tires ordered. Now to see how long this national backorder lasts. And decide on wheels.

 Good choice on size, I’m digging the slightly narrower tire so far. Price has gone up since September quite a bit though

Yeah, not cheap. Was considering the Toyo ATs in the same size/load range as they were quite a bit less, but figured going back to an MT for what I plan to do with the 1st gen was the right choice.

Plus as the rate I drive the 1st gen they'll last until they're dry rotted.

You gonna tub it out for those or think they’ll fit with the solo arms?

Or are they in preparation for a SAS? :stirthepot:

I bet they're not much bigger than the current 285/75r17s, so I'm guessing they'll fit without tubbing. Granted I've hammered the firewall as much as possible.

That's also with the exception of under the battery and airbox. With the solo arms I started rubbing there hard. I'll cycle and cut what I need to for them to clear cleanly. Was planning on moving the battery to the bed anyways.

SAS is not on the table at the moment, but might still get there.

Finally got the lift done yesterday. Torqued down the UCAS, got to the shop for alignment and the ball joints on the ucas jarred loose. Shouldn’t have skipped on better quality. Absolute garbage machining work on the eBay ucas. Should’ve known. So decided to Order replacement JBAs which should be in in 4 days. Still can’t drive her yet:mad:.

sure looks good though. At least I can go take a peek whenever I want until the jbas come in lol. Def the biggest project I’ve done on the truck myself.

Yeah the nittos seem to run on the small side, mine weren’t much taller than my worn out 315/75r16 MTRs.

    Stuff. Also things.
I’ve been wanting to do this for a while, since the 315s required more than a little hammering up front. The added benefit would be getting all that mass closer to the COM of the truck, if not maybe biased to the passenger side a bit to help with my taco lean. Would be cool for sure.

I've already hammered there too, and closer to the battery than I would like, so I think it will need to be moved. Plus what's left of my inner fenders is falling apart, so less weight up there can't hurt.
