    You will definitely be surprised. Most 80 owners seem to have zero curiosity on how they actually work let alone the motivation to actually work on them.

    Which I don't get at all, because other than every component being diesel truck weight, they're pretty easy to work on

    I definitely miss a wagon body.
    As it sits right now, my trips I've postponed during pandemic might end up being done in the Taco...out west and Mojave Road and a few other spots Sept/Oct. I can only wait so long for a market correction, otherwise the ol donkey is going to have to do it haha

    The taco is more than capable for western stuff down south, most of that is endurance not technical difficulty haha

    Yeah I never doubted its ability, I just had the idea in the back of my head of doing the whole trip in something newer. The funny thing is the more I've looked into something else, the more its made me like my 1st gen

    *Thinking about adding the Coastal rear on too, (or 4xInnovations) more for jerrys than tire. Couldn't find anyone to knock up an extended tank

    We get snow like once a decade at the beach. Driveway was 7"....small for many, big for us.
    Went by and borrowed my dads 4Runner for a bit after the roads were cleared

    @Speedytech7

    Got notification that the OME steering damper arrived; install it before I even buy new coils?

    Really need to inventory all the extra goodies I got and list them.

    Yeah, it's like a 10min install if you have a balljoint popper and some wrenches haha. Makes a noticable difference

    @eon_blue has mine :burp:

    Wasn't sure if I should bother before I did a suspension install is what I meant. Then I remembered they're independent in that they work from no lift up to several inches.

    :thumbsup:

    Definitely, makes sense.

    I did see new tie rod ends, or track rod ends, when I had inspected everything. Surprised they didn't take care of the steering damper.

    No leaks either Jake, I was looking in and out and all around when I had Zane on the phone. Shooting pics over too.
