Oh I've learned - October I do as much as I can. Early oil changes and whatever needed if possible. I ain't going under there until March. Hate the cold.

I'd been keeping an eye on the weather all week, today was supposed to be chilly but dry which I'm fine with. Wake up and there's enough snow in the ground to not be able to do this comfortably but not enough to actually be fun to go out in, go figure

After the past few days it's not much better even in a garage. I don't hit the door opener until we're both in the vehicle and buckled up with my hand on the start button.

Boo. Sending thoughts your way to bang it out with a little annoyance as possible.

My wife got it right around New Years for the second time. Took six days post-exposure to test positive and broke her booster. We all had the same level exposure and myself and the kids remained negative. Knocked the kids out of daycare for 20 days because of daycare policies and the timing. I’m doing all I can to avoid it, not necessarily because I’m worried but because it had been a 15 day boot if I get it and the kids don’t. I fully understand the reasoning why, but it’s not easy. It would have been way easier if we just got it from a time and PTO standpoint.

The whole family got in last April and I tested negative a bunch of times before an inconclusive, but this time I remained negative. I’m hoping we get over the hump and get past this since I want to take some vacation this summer!

Yea kinda hope we all get it right now. But I don't have time off until after 90 days. There is the government 5 days I can use but I'm holding off at moment.

The MA 40 hour bank? It’s capped at $850 as an FYI.

The only reason I know is both my wife and I applied (and received) and we didn't get full weeks.

The girlfriend and I had something the week before last - chills, congestion, fatigue, but no fever. It lasted 2-3 days and our tests came back negative. It wasn't awful - I would have been able to tough it out if I had something important to do, but preferred to be on the couch. Now I'm hearing sometimes you don't test positive until you're near the end of your symptoms so who knows.

I was actually hoping for a positive since three vaccine doses plus an infection should give me pretty iron clad immunity.

I did a little project today. We have a mudroom/den between the house and the garage that doubles as my office. It had terrible carpet in it since I bought the house. I don't have a great "before" picture but this gets the idea across:
    upload_2022-1-22_18-11-41.jpg

I tore the carpet out and put down cheap adhesive vinyl planks and I like how it came out:
    upload_2022-1-22_18-12-23.jpg

    upload_2022-1-22_18-12-58.jpg

I need to put some molding around the tile near the door since the new flooring is lower (and I chipped a tile slightly so I need to hide that). We're also going to repaint the room a light gray, and I'm going to buy a replacement desk since the ugliness of my current one became more obvious as I started to improve the room.

Very nice, great look. Love the ceiling.
When I re did my office I was able to place my desk facing the wimdow. Made for a really pleasant work space. Though I'm retired so not in there much.

Anyone know of a reputable breeder for Boston, boxer, Frenchie or mini doodle locally? We’re continually striking out with all these rescues being a week or so behind on petfinder. Also seems like they’re just flipping these dogs they bring up in droves from the southern kill shelters for 6-700 a piece without proper vetting… money isn’t really an issue, we just wanna find the right pup for our 5.5 and 4 yo.

I don’t know any breeders but would recommend Anchor Paws Rescue. We were going through something similar with other rescues. Anchor Paws seemed different, actually care about the pups and we got our goofball from them.
