It was one of the first things that I did too. It makes it much brighter and looks more modern.

I put the MESO dual color map and dome lights in mine - and also changed the vanity lights to LEDs. I generally leave the maps/dome on red. It's that old Army light discipline thing. :D

I just used a kit that the YouTuber tacoRick used. I think the meso ones are pretty awesome but I had and SR5 and the interior is the grey color not black like the Meso stuff matches. I wanted to to keep the stock lenses.
In the end they are still working except the map lights one of those started to flickering. I replaced them with Sylvania zevo LED from AutoZone. I think the Zevo ones are even better. If any others fail I'll put more of them in. So that's a good option if you don't want me so and want something that can be picked up at a store locally.

The trash man will take it if you pour it into a plastic bleach jug and put it in a black plastic bag.

    Naughty boy!
The only thing I always hated was getting rid of the oil filters. The spin on ones I could drain for a month and never get 100% of the oil out. No where takes them so I always put them in the trash when I got as much oil out as possible. The cartridge ones are much less trouble to drain and dispose of. Can't help but think that's why they went back to that style.

The cartridge style makes more sense provided it's not too much of a PITA to replace. I've got about 8 months left till my next oil change. I plan to get the metal housing and drain valve with a hose. Think I read on here somewhere that you can use an old style can filter if you want. Might be another option.

looking for places to get center caps for matte black pro wheels and black lug nuts. I did see the oem caps but was wondering if y'all knew of other looks?
    Please help.

PS respect to all my DCSB friends on here. Ya'll just made a bad choice if you need a work truck lol. Off roading is a blast for sure and I can still do it in a DCLB. My days of squeezing down narrow trails are out. I guess its old bull vs young bull mentality. I'd prefer to keep 40k scratch and ding free.

I changed my oil twice. Once at 5,000 miles the cartridge was no problem to deal with. After the a dealership did it at 10,000 and then I tried a to get it off at 15,000 it was put on way too tight by the dealership. Becomes a pain.
You can use a spin on that requires the Baxter adapter that's $250.
Not sure thats worth it. Don't put it on too tight it will be ok.

IMG_2074.jpg IMG_2068.jpg Installed my Tacorail by 67 designs. Note if you want it centered with the screen one of the bolt and nut combos is a little to close to one of the fasteners, and requires a bit of work to make it fit; see photo. Luckily you don't need a degree from Two Domes to accomplish this.

On the center cap thing, take a peek at Etsy. If you plug in center cap Tacoma, all types of options pop up. You can even create your own design if you want. You'll need to know the size of the opening the center cap would go.

On the lugs, I just bought some off Amazon.

It took about 25 minutes. There's a video that shows how to do it on the Tundra but it's the same steering wheel.
