They have "pre-built" rigs for people who want to get into Overlanding fast without the hassles of chasing parts and installers. I've been following this Tundra build. I think they are doing a good job with it.

I would have more hair if I had bought a pre-built rig.

But I was always the kind of kid that liked to build my own model cars and customize them so I could actually play with them.

Yeah I've always done my own as well. I think the van I did was the most hair-pulling. I get why people would be cool with checking options off a sheet and then just picking it up when its all done.

They’ve got a so so reputation here locally, generally due to their pricing. I haven’t dealt with them personally.

I have the same problem though - the tinkering and planning is as much fun to me as the actual camping.

I remember lots of challenges trying to find items during 2020. No containers from Australia. Long waitlists. I wanted to get it done before the end of 2020.

Yeah I had the same with some OME and Front Runner parts. Do you have your truck pretty much where you want it now?
As much as I get headaches from older vehicles, just the last few months of making decisions and looking at more modern 4WDs (obviously the market being what it is hasn't helped) has made me like old stuff more in many ways.

Same. I haven't dealt with them or know anybody who has. Once in a while, I see someone in the regional FB group show up with an Adventure rig.

I do have some love for them because they will jump in and sponsor some Toyota Truck Club events, far away from their location in MO down in Little Rock, by sending stuff to give away.
The distance doesn't make sense for them to do anything for us. But they have been good about participating when asked.

Yup, a trail out here similar to that after a bad storm is what ended up destroying my fender. It was normally rutted out but this time the ruts turned into sideways slopes through a little canyon-like section. Don't have the advantage of a linked solid front axle lol. I slid hard right into the wall, was lucky I could back out

I had my window down and I remember a ton of dirt coming pouring into the cab, shit sucked haha. Although having the window down probably saved me from a busted window.

Yep.. The only thing new for this year is to get the Sumo 3.1:1 transfer case reduction gear set installed. I already have everything needed in a box. I just need Jason at Ozark Overland Outfitters to get back from a Death Valley trip in Feb so I can run it up to West Plains for him to do the installation. That one is a bit much for me to take on in the driveway -- especially with the hours I'm working until June. He can do that job in a jiffy.

I'm thinking about some new u-joints before I go to Colorado in July. Mine are running ok and all. They are just old. The trip out and back there puts more stress on the truck than the off-roading part.

I have a Hurican storage unit sitting in the garage that I need to install.

I'll remember to roll down the windows on a trail like that.

Yup, we got lucky. Came back on around 11am yesterday so we were only out of power for about 12 hours.

There are areas near us though that still don't have power which really sucks. Just glad we got ours back

I guess I should get TurboTax updated and get an early start on Taxes. I may end up having to pay this year.

    Reminds me of this song.

I had a "contract" job last year... Apparently I have to figure out and pay my own taxes

I think I'll just let the IRS have their way with me because I really couldn't give a shit less these days
