All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
Doesn’t it seem odd to have a protrusion like that for a jack mount, seem that would only make the jack point less stable. I say cut it off!

Agreed, but it doesn’t protrude below the skid plates…when they’re on the vehicle.

I'm shopping for battery powered yard equipment. I want a chainsaw weedeater, and hedge trimmer all of the same brand so I can swap batteries. I'm tired of my annoying gas equipment. I'm doing online research but I wanted to get you guys opinions. What does other people use?

We have a Stihl electric blower - it works great. They have a really battery system. I have Stihl gas equipment, so I assume their electrical stuff would be as good.

A lot of people like the Dewalt system. I have their power tools, but have never tried the yard equipment. Again, I assume it's good.

My suggestion is to look at the entire line of tools the manufacturer makes. Think about anything you may want/need in the future, and think about how much compatibility you want.

These days, I'm sure most everything is good. The high end stuff probably will last longer.

    Sorry I should have clarified.

That jack point does not protrude lower than any existing (to my knowledge) OEM/aftermarket skid currently available.

Obviously that would change should someone such as yourself fab up a skid that mandated cutting the jack point off.

I own some Stihl electric stuff. Chainsaw will do about 50 10” cuts then go dead, with the bigger battery it doubles it.
I don’t have an electric blower, because they don’t move leaves like I need. If you do go electric I would go stihl.

If your wanting some nice equipment let me know. I have some for sale, but they are gas.

The trick to 2 stroke stuff is using ethanol killer in both the machine and can.
When your don’t using it, poor the gas back into the can.
Unless your gonna use it every week. Leaving gas in a machine for over a month will gum up the carb.
If you wanna learn I will teach you young Jedi!

I got a couple RedMax blowers and and Stihl weed trimmers. Will sell for 200 a piece. If you buy both I will knock offs a little on the price :)

Not currently. I only own two. A 200T (the holy grail of saws) and a big ass farm boss.

If I run across one, which I do often. I will send you the deal on it, and grab it for you if you want.

Doubtful you’ll find a decent Yamaha sled in your parts but keep an eye out for one. None up here & I said last year stock situation couldn’t get worse.

Please do. Always wanted a 192.

It’s not a ‘need’ with my current life/work. But wouldn’t mind a smaller option as my farm boss is overkill my 90% of the sawing I need to do…when I randomly need a saw these days.
I’m not on that side of the blue, but I’m gonna say that sadly inventory is likely to be minimal. If you don’t already have an order or allocation in with a dealer, you may be out of luck til next season.

I have Kobalt 80V string trimmer and chainsaw. Work great. Trimmer is very easy to restring. Chainsaw.... I cut down and delimbed 12-15 pines in one day, 4" diameter and up.
Went thru 2 chains, and just kept switching batteries. Battery charged in less time than it took me to use it up.
Have Kobalt 40V edge trimmer too. Works good, went with 40V for a lighter weight. In hindsight I should have gone with 80V too. Just for battery compatibility and more power.

Battery like is gonna be a big deal to me. I made the mistake of buying a battery powered lawn mower for manicuring my wife's play ground area of her daycare and the battery would die pretty quick. So I took it back and got a Honda gas powered

Nice man. In my little town we only have a home depot so I was looking at mikita, Milwaukee, and dewalt. I noticed the Milwaukee is much more expensive but some of the reviews say they have battery issues. I'm thinking this will be going with me on camping trips too.

I have a gas powered weed eater and I don't really need a blower. I have mostly evergreens.

Never thought I’d need a blower either but no other way of removing excess pine needles around perennials before tilling & adding soil. Took 3 maybe 4 solid bags out last season. Now I use it all the time.
