Yeah rescuses won't be where you go if you want to know the lineage. We struck out with our catahoula - she's great but most likely a runt of the litter or failed hunting dog so she got sent up here. We also lucked out because we were second in line on another catahoula we'd never heard of the breed before. But the rescue said "eyyy we have another catahoula not listed if you're interested!" So we went to go meet her at a boarding facility since her fosters were on vacation. She came out from the back and hacked up on the floor in front of us. The employees were like "oh no they're not going to want that!!!" But it was the opposite I was like "she's coming home with us".

Edit: we went through Rhode home rescue. Great setup and organization. Down in Rhode island but that's still close. I can also recommend the catahoula breed, great dogs.

Have you checked out FOHA (friends of homeless animals) of ri? We went through them for both our dogs and were great to deal with.

I got my Boxer mix rescue 15 or so years ago from Throwaway pups in Newport; I think they’ve since moved to NY. Most RI rescues won’t adopt to Mass rn because of a 2 day quarantine requirement. We (petfinder) just seem to be a week or so behind all the listings for local dogs. Ready to pony up the several thousand for a purebred boxer, Boston, or frenchie.

We have worked with this rescue in the past. They’ve got a few pups.

Just an FYI, if you live in MA you can't adopt from outside the state because the State head veterinarian (or whatever the title is) is a dingleberry beta cuck who thinks adoption organizations outside of the state are dirty and don't meet our high standards.

You can, in theory. But they have to be quarantined for 48 hours at a facility before coming home which most rescues deem traumatizing so they won’t do it.

I think some agencies / shelters might disregard the regulation or law, whichever it is. But I know a lot of them won't adopt to MA because of the stupid regs.

Back story, he said you are very active on TW on Express but never met you. I said I met you a couple times but was disappointed because you use the word shenanigans but I did not get to hear it out loud.
Not poking fun, thought maybe you were a Brit.(kinda disappointed) It is the internet after all never know what you're going to get.

I actually adopted it from my old boss who I think got it from south Park. No Brit. But I do watch an inordinate amount of British television.

Yeah I haven't met Jared. I think he helped coordinate contact with me and @mach1man001 for one delivery or another.

Maybe this year. Gotta get out more. I didn't stick around much at the toys for tots Meetup.

I had nothing in mind. Cool. I'll probably hit it up. It should be cold Wednesday so that'll hit the spot.

Shit actually my old boss might be up to grab a bite. He's in Schenectady I'll have to drop him a line.
