Grabbed the M12 solder iron today and wired up a light bar, sweet little tool

terrible wire job, about 3 feet of wire too much and shorted the shrink wrap, it was almost single digits outside and I will revisit come nicer weather

Yes indeed. I met the guy buying my chainsaws yesterday from craigslist at a "public place" and he was saying the same thing, about how we can't even go to someone's house anymore because we are afraid they are casing the joint.

On a different not, I tried the M18 chainsaw today on a small piece of oak. It is more comparable to my arborist saw, but still no where near as powerful as either of the saws I just sold. Good thing I don't have any land I have to manage with trees on it anymore! I hope Oregon or Milwaukee come out with 12" bars for this M18 chainsaw, this 16" is absurd especially with the bar and chain being Pitch: 3/8" low profile, Gauge: .043"...

I've been toying with picking up this saw with the 14" blade for camping, hunting, fishing, etc. trips. I've already got plenty of batteries.

How's the leakage (I'm assuming it leaks some like most saws) on the bar oil?

Unknown so far, this is actually an area of concern for me there is no oil adjustment for bar length. I filled it this morning and it says to run for 30 seconds after filling the reservoir before you cut. I had to run it for 90+ seconds before I saw oil the wood, and it was a very small mist at that point, I was able to sling oil onto the wood and write my name with my old saws... I am experiencing a little sellers remorse right now... time will heal this wound I'm sure.

Following up. Yes, it weeps a little bar oil just like traditional saws.

Yep, and they've all got those electronic motion sensor tags that set off an alarm when you pick up the box to read it. If I can't get any help I the store I just shake a couple of em. :D

Finally got some stuff moved around and "organized". Still have a long way to go, but the box has a home...

    20220122_181156.jpg

Still trying to lay it all out. Going to get some socket organizers to get rid of the molded cases and free some space up...

    20220122_180508.jpg

Nice to have a spot for a majority of the power tools...
    20220122_180850.jpg

Been doing a laundry room remodel and had to make a custom box for the dryer vent stub up. Why not use it as an excuse to buy more tools. Had the straight snips, but picked up a left and right to make the complete set. Am happy with the results...

Slept on how the M18 chainsaw performance and cost… I have buyers remorse and wish I tried the M12 hatchet first. Oh well I might try to return it or sell it but for now it will just take up room in my workshop.
