Weekend 2 of Project Suspension. Added preload to the front shocks, and then emptied several purple bottles doing the front and rear diffs, and T case fluid swap. T case was pristine, but the diffs didn’t look great. Unless the stock Toyota gear oil is silver/gray?
I swear it rolls better now. It had seemed to drop speed pretty quick when my foot was off the pedal, and that seems much better now. Or, it could be all in my head to justify the work!

How hard was it to install it? Any instructions or videos on installation?

It fits well. I put some seal around the edge to be safe. If your ordering one this fits 2nd gen and 3rd access cabs. The double cab one is larger and has a cab light.

Fyi, the OP has an Access Cab like myself. The 3rd brake light is not the same as yours. This is an example of one of the many mis-steps by Toyota engineers. The AC 3rd brake light mounts from the outside where as the DC mounts from the inside.

It was easy. Its for access cabs and you only have to undo the 2 screws located on the outside. Then clean the old seal off. Plug and play. I put some seal around the edge to be safe from leaks.

Installed my SSO Slimline Hybrid Bumper and Warn Xeon Platinum 10S. Have to wire in the winch and spool another time - to tired. Also going to have to relocate the lightbar to behind the grille. Even with a control box relocation kit no way the lightbar is going to fit. I read the SSO instructions - I just didn't follow them :sawzall:.

I made the mistake at 1st of unknowingly ordering one for a DB. Website said the light would fit all 3rd gens but it actually only fits the DB. Its the stuff you have to put up with owning an AC. Manufacturers forget they exist and say their products fits all Tacomas.https://www.tacomalifestyle.com/products/tacoma-3rd-brake-light

Looks good. I want one badly. Just can’t afford it quite yet and I’m looking at some worn tire so there is that in the near future. Just put tires on daughters car.

Ordered the x2 24f beginning of the month and it arrived at the store so I picked it up. Had issues with the stock holder/hook tie down. Surprised me because I thought I read where ppl got it to work but I must of read wrong… it’s on there and tight but I don’t like how it wraps around on the edges. I’m not into the flashy hold downs (bright and logos) any recommendations?

I have the same lift kit but stock leaf springs. I want to level the truck. I just don’t know if I should go block or leave springs or just lower the front. Any suggestions are welcomed

Did you remove the spacer that was under the stock battery?
