I think the car that the mustang hit ran the light. The Kia in the same travel direction was still stopped.

The Z had been modified to effectively double the factory horsepower output. A lot of things could go wrong.

Naw, just more proof that 10 gas cars catch fire 10 for every 1 EV. JK - modded engines go blamo all the time.

Wonder how much the Z had in mods. The Tesla is spendy, but fast as hell.

Especially when it's obliviously driving into emergency vehicles parked on the side of the road with all the flashing lights on.

...^^^... Very cool video ... I watched a guy in North Georgia (up I-85 close to the Carolina border) take off and fly (with a rig like his) on a sunny Sunday afternoon about 10 years ago.

He went up so high he looked like a small speck against the blue sky. It was cool to watch, but not for me.

Yeah, in that case the idiot behind the wheel was obviously not paying attention. The news makes it out that the car was at fault, but that's kind of like blaming the gun for killing someone. If an idiot doesn't follow the directions bad shit is going to happen.

This happens all the time without autodriving cars. People tend to steer where they're are looking and their rubber necks means they're usually looking at the flashing emergency lights.

This orangutan is a better driver than most humans on the road today...

5 minutes of research, on a phone no less.

Tesla autopilot deaths: 12 since 2018.
Tesla autopilot accidents 1 per 4,140,000 miles autopiloted.

Most people can't do the 140,000 without getting into a crash... Sounds like a real problem to me. Meanwhile Boeing's autopilot alone has killed literally hundreds in that same time frame. Although iirc they never did find that one that disappeared a few years ago, I guess those passengers could still be alive and thriving somewhere.
